Derek's P.O.V

"Derek..." Jade called as I kept placing small kisses on her lips. I know that it annoys her, but I'm doing it out of love. And to annoy her a little because she's cute when she's jokingly mad at me. And lying on our bed together, doing nothing... It felt amazing.

"Hmm?" I muttered, continuing what I was doing.

   "Stop it."

   "Why?"

   "Just stop."

"No..." I continued kissing her. She squeezed both of my cheeks with her right hand and moved my face away from hers, giving out a small sigh. "Okay. Okay. I got it." I smiled at her. She was so beautiful... I love the feeling of being totally in love with her.

"Good." She smiled back. "Now go, you'll be late otherwise and we won't have any candy for the kids." She seems very excited for Halloween.

"Going." I replied. My keys were on her nightstand, so I gabbed them and sneaked another small smooch. I smiled, and she glared at me. "Hey, sneaking a kiss is not a crime." She giggled as she pushed me away to move out, and so I did.

I returned from my errands. I went out to buy candy for trick-or-treaters, as Jade insisted. I also went to buy some stuff we were missing at home since Jade always sends me to do that. As I got out of the car, some kids came up to me in the parking lot. "Trick or treat!" They yelled. I stared at them all and reached slowly into the truck to get the bag of candy. They seemed a little tense and I was amused by their expressions. Huh, that probably sounds kind of mean. I handed out the M&Ms silently, and the kids continued to stare at me. I flashed my eyes and fangs and snarled at them. The kids ran away, and I smirked to myself. Jade would've probably screamed at me right now for doing that. I dropped the candies back in the truck, and some spirits manifested in a circle around me. Yeah, that's not normal.

I tried to fight them, but I fainted for an unknown reason. Okay, this is the weirdest Halloween I've been at. When I got up, something was burning behind my ear, some kind of a mark. As if it was tattooed. On the other hand, I heard noise coming out of the building of the loft. Music. Huh. I howled, making everyone know I'm back. There's no way there's a party in my loft, and if there is, this is a good warning for them to stop it.

I went back to the loft shock struck my body to see what's happening there. People were partying in my fucking loft. That doesn't make sense. I don't remember allowing this. I hope Jade's not here because if she's here and she agreed to have this, I'll be...

"Oh my god." I heard Jade's voice and turned to the direction of the voice. She walked towards me through the crowd of the dancing people. She was topless with a lot of body paint on her. Okay, I don't want these horny teenagers to dance next to her. They've never seen a woman before and that makes them feel things. Things I don't want them towards her. "Derek! Look at this amazing p-"

"Jade," I began, taking a deep breath before I continue. "This is not amazing. I didn't allow this party to happen and I didn't allow those boys to grind on-"

"Just shut up and let's have fun!" She grabbed my hand and pulled me unwillingly into the crowd. But I... I wasn't feeling it. At all. I'm going to shut this party.

"I'm sorry, Jade." I left her and walked towards the DJ. Well, at least tried. No one let me move as they kept dancing on me... Eventually I reached there.

"Bro, sorry. The Bloody Beetroot doesn't take requests." The bouncer told me. I tried walking again but he stopped me. "Bro, seriously. I said the DJ doesn't take-" I grabbed him by the throat. What an asshole. This is my place, like I give a damn about that DJ...

"He'll take mine." I answered and threw him aside. All these people need to leave before I snap. I threw the DJ's table to the floor. "Get out!" I roared, making everyone run away. Jade didn't seem so happy to see that. Scott was a little shocked that I'm back. And then, the same spirits that attacked me appeared in the loft.

Allison, Isaac and Ethan arrived and the spirits looked at Aiden.

"Guys, they're all looking at me. Why are they all looking at me?" Aiden asked. "Guys?" Scott and I decided to attack them. I managed to break one's neck, but it unaffected him, and I responded by throwing him into a pillar. Another one knocked Scott down. Isaac ran forward to try his luck, whipping out his claws, but one of these spirits drew a sword out of its chest, and Isaac backed down. The spirits held Aiden.

"Somebody do something!" Allison demanded. One of these spirits looked at Aiden, while it's eyes were glowing yellow, and then did the same thing they did to me. They marked him. Aiden fell on the floor. Scott got up and growled at them. The sun finally came up and they disappeared.

"What the hell were those things?" Scott asked. That's a good questions. I want to know, too.

"I don't like the fact that you allowed them to have a party here." I told Jade as we sat next to each other on the couch.

"Are you serious? It's the most fun I had in years, loosen up, Derek." She sighed. "You're always so uptight."

"I've seen how much you've loosened up with those boys-"

"Be careful with what you're saying." She got up and began walking to the kitchen. I followed her.

"Why do you get so angry so quickly?"

"I can ask the same thing to you." She's making me a little frustrated. "I don't understand what's the big deal. It was just a party." Yeah, and it's not like she wants to have a party with me. She didn't even tell me that she allowed Scott to do this party. What if I wanted to party with her? She didn't think about that. She only suggested that when I got back to a party I did not expect in my loft. "Do you hate fun-"

"Maybe if you didn't think I hate having fun, you would've told me he's having a party in the loft. Maybe I would've wanted to party with you." She stayed silent for a few moments.

"You're right." She finally responded. She then walked over to her phone and after a few seconds music came out of it. She had put on music. What is she doing? "Let's have our own party. There's still some body paint left." She smiled at me. That smile softened me inside. She can make me angry, furious even, but in a matter of seconds, she can make me calm down and forget I was angry a moment before. I don't know how she does that. "Come on, take off your shirt. Let's paint." She smirked, and I, of course, obliged.
