Jade's P.O.V
Severo, the hunter, turned the fuse box on. These electricity bolts were killing me inside. When do we get over this torture thing? We'v got to understand they're looking for something from us, but this isn't going anywhere. We're getting shocks for no use.
"You see this equipment? Very old. The settings are not quite accurate anymore, so it's hard to tell just how far to turn the dial." Severo commented. I could see how much in pain both Derek and Peter were. I know I tried to hold on my screams. I hate these fucking tortures, and it ruins everything I tried to run away from. For once in my life, will I get some silence?
"I think it's a little high." Peter replied. He needs to learn how to shut up.
"I've seen some crack their teeth. Others, they just shake and shake even after their heart stops. Sometimes we don't even know they're dead." He added and turned off the fuse box off. I was relieved that it was finally over. This is getting harder and harder and I don't even know I'm a part of this. "But nobody wants to play a guessing game. So, why don't you just tell us? Where is la loba?" Why is it familiar to me? La loba... My dad talked to me about that. I just don't remember what does it mean. I mean, it's a she-wolf, but it has another meaning... I should search it in my family's archive...
"We don't know where la loba is." Derek answered.
"No? Maybe you need a different method of persuasion? Maybe we cut one of you in half, the others talk?" Severo asked. What makes him think we know anything about it? I don't know anything. Please don't tell me Derek or Peter are involved... If they are, they don't know what waits for them once we get home. If we get home. These hunters are way heartless than the Argents...
"I would love to be there for volunteer, but we really don't know what you're talking about and honestly, isn't bisecting people with a broad sword a little medieval?" Peter replied with a question. This isn't the time to judge their way of hunting. What an idiot...
"Broad sword? We're not savages." Severo grinned. They got a chainsaw out. Derek and I looked at Peter in a look that says you really need to shut your big mouth. "We all wonder how far your little healing trick goes. What do you think? Can you grow back an arm? We're pretty sure you can't grow back your head." The hunter that held the chainsaw moved it very close to Derek's throat. My heart skipped a beat as I gasped. I tried to fight my chains, but then someone entered the room.
"Boys." Araya walked in, stopping them from killing Derek. She began talking in Spanish. She said you don't need to be so hard. The hunter with the chainsaw stopped. Thank God.
"No hablo espanol." Derek's lying. We all know Spanish. In fact, we know many languages. We're fast learners and we used it to study as many languages as we could.
"Tu hablas muchos idiomas, Derek Hale." Araya responded. She told him she knows he knows a lot of languages. "You know exactly what I'm saying, and you know who we want." She walked closer to Derek with a small curved knife. "Where is the she-wolf?"
"We don't know any she-wolf besides Jade."
"I know you won't talk, lobito." Araya answered. That's such a cute name for Derek. I should embrace that. "This one will talk." She looked at Peter, then walked closer to him. "This one loves the sound of his own voice."
"You should hear me sing." Peter sounded like he enjoyed himself. He still doesn't understand that what he says can get us dead. Frankly, I don't want to die. This isn't his moment to be cocky.
"We want to hear you scream." Severo responded to the bullshit Peter said.
"No one ever wants to hear me sing." Peter replied as he looked at Derek and I. Ugh, if I could make him shut up-
"What could we do to persuade you, hmm?" Araya placed the knife near Peter's eye. He reacted in fear, and his claw got out. Idiot. "Where is the she-wolf?" Araya asked. Peter didn't answer so she cut his finger. He, on the other hand, kept himself as calm as he could. "Think about it. I'm only going to ask you nine more times." She threw his finger on the floor and left. The hunters followed her, but, of course, one of them stayed there to make sure we don't do anything. I inhaled deeply.
"I don't want to make it sound like we don't appreciate your hospitality but do you think it would be possible to put that on ice? Maybe something for my hand? Extra-large band-aid? Perhaps some antibiotic ointment?" Peter was worried about his cut finger. The hunter shook his head. Well, what does he expect? I kept making eye contact with Derek, showing him the anger in my eyes. He, as much as he understood me, didn't want me to use the energy I have left. Sighing, we suddenly heard gunfire. After a few seconds it stopped and a girl walked inside the place. She knocked the hunter that was with us out. She came closer to us, and smiled.
"You're the one who saved Isaac." Derek responded.
"I'm the one who was hired to save Isaac." She replied. I've seen her in my visions.
"Someone hired you to get us out of here?" Peter asked.
"Someone hired me to get Derek and Jade out of here. You, I'm totally fine leaving for dead." I agree with her.
"When did I get this reputation?" She began unlocking our chains. Did he really ask that question?
"Who hired you?" Derek questioned her.
"Deucalion." She simply answered.
"Deucalion? The guy who did that to you?" Peter asked. Her neck had a scar of claws scratch.
"A girl's gotta eat. Besides, he said that it's a family thing." He did it for me? Wow... I didn't expect that from him. He never shared much care for me. when I was little, he used to interact with me more. But my dad cut that off quickly.
"Jade." Derek and Peter muttered together as Peter took his finger.
"Alright, let's get the hell out of here."
"We're not leaving without it." Derek stated. What is he talking about?
"Without what?" She asked. I wanted to ask the same question. We took our clothes and followed Derek inside the hunters' house. He was looking for something, and I didn't even understand what was it since he wasn't willing to speak. Eventually he found a trunk on a table. Derek tried to touch it and it zapped him.
"It's made from a Rowan tree. It's mountain ash wood." Peter commented. Braeden, who I caught her name as we walked here, kicked the lock, and opened the trunk, understanding she's the only one that can do that. "And that would be just mountain ash. Somebody really doesn't want our hands in there." We gave Braeden a look, and she understood she needs to look for what's in there. She rolled her eyes, and did it. She dug her hands inside the mountain ash and pulled out a cylinder with the triskele symbol carved on the top.
Talia's claws.
