Yoongi

I'm with Nayeon

as I'm about to walk her home when I hear a few people talking.

"Did you hear about the concert thing?"

"Yeah, OH MY GOSH WE'RE LATE, PACK UP FASTER KIM AERA!"

All I hear is 'concert' and 'late'.

"IT'S IN THE MUSIC ROOM COME ON!" the other girl shouts.

"Jagiya, let's check it out?" I ask.

"Ani, let's go home now." She says sluggishly.

"It'll only be for a while, I promise jagi!"

I don't understand why I want to go so badly,

but I beg her to come with me.

She whines.

I pull her to the music room.

I hear a familiar voice.

"Okay! Another song it is!"

It's You.

You were standing on the makeshift stage in front of a microphone, like the first time I saw you playing and singing in the music room, looking every bit like the perfect idol I know you'd one day be.

As I entered, our eyes met.

Then you turned away and glared at Yeri.

For what reason, I cannot fathom.

"T-this song is called, um, 'Fine' and yeah... I hope you like it." You said, speaking rather stutter-ey...?

If that was even a word.

You began strumming on your guitar,

You closed your eyes and sang.

Everyone was quiet.

Then the chorus came.

"Naneun aniya

Swibji aneul geot gata

Yeojeonhagedo neon nae haruharureul chaeugo

Ajigeun aniya

Babocheoreom doenoeneun na

Ipgae maemdoneun mareul samkil su eopseo

It's not fine

Ah ah ah ah it's not fine"

Everyone was shook with the high notes in the chorus.

You sounded amazing.

Some people even cried with the whole beauty of the song and the vocals.

One thing that bothered me, though, was that,

towards the whole chorus, you were looking at me.

Directly at me.

It felt unsettling because your eyes weren't like they usually were, warm, bright and positive. They were cold, sad, accusatory, and you almost shed a tear.

I didn't know what was happening.

Then, the song ended.

Then I realized I had two pairs of eyes looking at me.

You and Nayeon.

It felt like you were both trying to decipher my reaction to the song.

But honestly? I didn't even know my reaction to the song.

I saw a tear drop down your face, as Irene took you off the stage.

That was it for the short concert I guess.
