Wait, what? (Chapter 2)

Finally, class ended. I picked up my bag and walked down the hallway. Crap, I needed someone to sit with. I looked around the room. Popular girls? Pshhh now way. Break dancers? Nope. Then I saw Musa, sitting with the jocks. Should I go over? I don't think the guys would mind. Plus, I could get closer to Musa..

Jamie (J): "Hey Lia! Come sit with us!"

I looked around and saw Jamie, sitting beside a black haired girl, with piercing blue eyes. She wore all black.. Yeah, she scares me. But, Jamie was there. I'd be okay. I smiled and walked over.

???: "Jamie who is she?"

Woah, the girl next to him basically snapped. I'm guessing this was his girlfriend. But.. that doesn't explain the heels? Whatever it's 2021 I'm not gonna judge, plus, they look hella cute!

J: "Oh, don't worry Aliya. She's the new girl, I met her today in Science, she's very kind!"

I offered a smile and Aliya only stared back, deep into my soul.. with those blue eyes.. Oh stop it Lia! 

"Uh- Hi, Aliya right? Sorry if it seems I'm intruding on your guys' relationship."

I quickly sat down, Aliya and Jamie looked at each other before bursting out laughing, uh oh, did I say something stupid?

J: "Relationship?" 

Oh crap, maybe they're not together.

"I-I'm so sorry, I never should've assum-"

A: "Hey, don't sweat it. For the record, me and Jamie would NEVER date." 

Huh? Do they only see each other as friends? That still means they could date. The both stared at me before Jamie finally caught on that I was confused. 

J: "Heh, sorry. But, me and Aliya would never date because.." 

Jamie blushed and looked down. Aliya simply rolled her eyes

A: "Because he's gay, and I'm lesbian"

I immediately looked up, a shocked expression displayed on my face. 

"Wait, what?"

A: "Homophobic? If so, leave."

Oh god no, I'm not homphobic! I should've never assumed or have never been that shocked. I feel so bad! 

"No of course not! I just don't meet a lot of LGBTQ+ People, it's kinda frowned upon in my household, but I think it's stupid that being LGBTQ+ Isn't considered normal. I never should've been so shocked."

A: "Oh, it's okay."

J: "Don't sweat it!"

We all smiled and dug into our food. 

Then the bell wrang. I sighed and stood with my bag, as did Jamie and Aliya.

J: "Welp, we'll see you later."

Aliya just nodded and I waved. Okay now History. I began walking through the twisted and long hallways of Granit...

And after 4 more classes, school was finally out! I smiled and began walking to the exist. Only to be met with, the popular kids..

???: "Oh my god, it's the new girl!"

???: "She's kind of pretty"

I stood there shyly and offered a smile.

???: "Your name?"

"Lia."

???: "Cool. I'm Alexa (A)."

I smiled and walked out of the school. At least they were somewhat nice?
