I never should've gotten my hopes up. (Chapter 21)

Elias' POV 

God I never should've told Lia I liked her! Who am I kidding, I'm head over heels for Carrie. What in the world do I do? I could tell Carrie and wait for awhile to tell Lia or I could tell Lia I take it back. Dear lord! I'm an exchange student too! I don't have all year! I paced around my dorm. Ugh y'know what? I'm going to tell Carrie. I walked out of my dorm and searched for Carrie's. There it is! I knocked on the door. I heard the door knob turn and then the door opened revealing Carrie.

 "Hey!"

C: "Oh hey Elias! Why're you here so early? School starts in an hour..?"

 "I know but, I have to tell you something."

C: "Okay?"

"I told Lia yesterday that I like her, but I don't I like you, I don't know why I said that to her."

C: "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy! I like you too!"

I smiled.

"What do we do about Lia?"

C: "Dump her"

I nodded. 

C: "Wanna come over until school starts?"

"Sure!"

I walked into her room and sat down on her bed beside her. 

-----------------------------------45 minutes later-----------------------------------

C: "And so I was like-"

"Hold on what time is it?"

I checked my phone

"It's 7:45!"

C: "Shoot school is in 15 minutes!" 

I stood up and gathered my bag. I slung it over my shoulder and waited for her outside her room as she was getting dressed. She then burst through the door in a tank top, shorts and white high heels. 

C: "C'mon we gotta hurry!"

"You think so?"

I laughed. And we ran out the door. We finally stopped running when we reached first period, English. We entered calmly and sat down. 

-----------------------------------After class-----------------------------------

I stood up when the bell rang and gathered my stuff, as did Carrie. I walked towards the door and waited for her.

C: "So how much work did you get done?"

"Hmm I finished an essay, you?"

C: "I'm halfway through my essay."

I laughed

"Really?"

C: "Yeah I can't seem to find motivation!"

"I'll help you don't worry."

She laughed and we walked into the hall. Carrie kissed my cheek, which made me smile.

"You're so cute."

C: "Aww you too."

I then looked over and saw Lia. She was staring right at me with horror in her eyes. Crap. 

-----------------------------------Lia's POV-----------------------------------

I've been here before, y'know with a broken heart, but yet I still trusted Elias. I took a deep breath and turned around. Tears spilled down my face. I kept my head down as I walked to my next class. I entered the classroom and sat down, with my head still down. 

Teacher: "Lia, is everything okay?"

"Mhm" 

I said in a shaky voice. The teacher walked over and sat beside my desk.

Teacher: "I know you're not okay, do you want to go back to your dorm?"

I nodded.

Teacher: "Okay, no worries."

The teacher smiled at me and helped me out the door. I wiped my eyes and walked back to my dorm. I entered and went straight to my room. 

-----------------------------------Jamie's POV-----------------------------------

In class today, Lia didn't look so good. She left class in tears and I don't know why. I felt terrible though. When the bell rang for last period I rushed back to my dorm. I walked in and went to Lia's room. 

"Is everything okay Lia?"

L: "No."

I walked over and sat down on her bed.

"What's wrong?"

L: "I didn't tell you or Aliya this, but I started seeing another boy. I confessed to him yesterday and I caught him with Carrie today." 

"Oh, I'm so sorry Lia." 

I pulled her into a hug. 

"Do you want to sleepover in my room tonight with Aliya?"

L: "Yeah."

I smiled and nodded. I then got up and helped her to my room where Aliya was doing homework.

A: "Lia, what's wrong?"

L: "I found another boy, who I thought I could rely on, and then I caught him with Carrie."

A: "Oh."

I gave Aliya a warning glance and she glared at me. I could tell Lia was taken aback by Aliya's response.

L: "Um- yeah."

"She's sleeping over here tonight."

A: "Cool."

She turned around in her chair and continued writing. I sighed and sat on my bed. I pulled out my PC and turned on Lucifer. Lia was instantly beside me. I giggled at that. 

A: "Lia are you going to school tomorrow?"

L: "No, but I hopefully will the day after."

Aliya nodded. 

-----------------------------------1 Hour later-----------------------------------

Aliya finally finished her homework and joined us in the world of Lucifer. After awhile both of the girls were asleep. I figured I should join them. I turned off my PC and laid down beside them. I closed my eyes and drifted into sleep.
