Lia's POV
I woke up with Aliya and Jamie next to me. I smiled and got up. I walked into the kitchen and made myself a coffee. Seconds later, Jamie was up and ready. He wore a baby blue cardigan and grey skinny jeans. He also had white vans on.
J: "Morning, you staying home today?"
I nodded.
J: "Alright, that's fine."
He smiled and began tucking books into his bag. After while, Aliya emerged wearing a black turtle neck, a black pleated skirt and black heels. She packed her school bag and left with Jamie. For some reason, Aliya had been acting strange. I don't know why...

"Aliya, you've gotta be nicer to Lia."
A: "She broke me first."
I sighed
"I know but, she doesn't even know that."
A: "So? It's her fault she trusted Elias. Also, I don't know why she's sulking at home. I got rejected and I'm still going"
"Aliya, everyone grieves in different ways. And, it's not her fault! She thought Elias was someone she could rely on."
Aliya grumbled and looked down. We passed Elias and I slowed to a stop, while Aliya kept walking. Huh, that's unusual. She didn't try to take revenge? Or get angry at Elias for being in the way of her and Lia's relationship? I shrugged and walked over to Elias.
E: "Hey, Jamie."
"Mmm don't hey me when you just broke Lia's heart."
He rolled his eyes.
E: "I didn't like her okay?! Is it that big of a deal?"
"Yes! You led her on! And why the hell would you even confess if you weren't sure of your feelings?"
He became silent and looked down. I scoffed and walked away, back to class.

I turned off the T.V and sighed. There's no use in crying over boys. It's happened twice already. I'm just going to go back to school tomorrow and deal with it. Jamie and Aliya will be back in an hour or so. First period tomorrow was History. I'd have to see Musa AND Elias first period. Great. Whatever, it's not THAT big of a deal. I pulled out my school notebook and decided to work on some extra school work. It'd help for when I get back.
-----------------------------------An hour later-----------------------------------
I heard the door open and I turned around to see Jamie and Aliya walk in.
"Hey how was school?"
Aliya rolled her eyes and walked into her room while Jamie put his bag down and sat next to me
J: "It was fine."
"Okay that's good"
J: "Alright well, I hope you have a good day tomorrow. And, don't worry we'll make sure you're okay."
I smiled.
"Jamie, why's Aliya upset?"
J: "Oh- personal reasons."
"You know why right?"
He nodded.
"It's just that.. I thought we were all friends and I thought you guys could tell me anything."
I looked down and then felt Jamie's hand on my shoulder.
J: "We can it's just that, what Aliya's going through is something she really wants to keep between me and her. It's about her sexuality."
I widened my eyes, I felt horrible. That was none of my business!
"Okay! Now it all makes sense! I'm so sorry. I know, I'm straight so she probably wants to keep it between you and her since you know how she feels."
He nodded.
J: "Thank you for understanding."
"No worries!"
He smiled and walked into Aliya's room. God that felt good, clearing the air. I still didn't get why she was acting so cold, but I shouldn't assume. I'll just ignore it. I walked into my room and sat on my bed. I flopped down on my bed and thought. About Aliya and what she may be going through.
