Aliya's POV
Is it bad that I'm freaking out? Lia had just left to prepare for dinner and so had her parents. I had no idea what to wear! Or how to act for that matter. These people are filthy rich! I dug through my suit case, begging for some good looking clothes to simply appear.
L: "Aliya?"
I turned around and saw Lia in a beautiful amber spaghetti strap dress. She had straightened her naturally curly hair and had applied peach blush, natural eye makeup and peach gloss.
(Ignore the model, the only thing of importance in the image is the dress
"Uh- yeah?"
L: "Are you okay?"
"I can't find anything to wear"
I sighed.
L: "Oh that's no problem! I've got something!"
I smiled and followed her. She took a silver spaghetti strap dress off of her closet clothing hanger and gave it to me.
"Wow, it's beautiful."
L: "You're welcome"
She giggled, as did I.
I walked out of her room and into the guest room. I slipped it on and admired it.
(Again ignore everything expect the dress
I smiled at my reflection and walked down to the dining room.
Mom: "Wow! You look wonderful!"
"Thank you."
Dad: "Is that Lia's dress?"
I nodded.
D: "It looks beautiful on you."
My smiled widened. I sat down and seconds later Lia walked over and sat beside me.
M: "You girls look gorgeous."
L: "Thanks mom."
I looked at my plate and saw a steak. Wow. My parents never cooked. They always just got take-out. I dug in which seemed to amuse her parents. Once we all finished, we headed over to Christmas tree. I sat down on their designer couch and we all grabbed gifts with our names on it.
M: "Aliya hon, we didn't find out you were coming until last minute so we didn't get anything for you."
Her dad frowned and I shook my head. It was a gift to even stay here.
"It's totally okay! Even being able to stay here is a gift which thank you so-"
L: "Wait no! We did get her a gift."
I tilted my head.
L: "She can keep my dress! You seem to really like it, and heck I don't ever wear it so consider it a gift from my parents."
"Thank you so much! It's gorgeous I love it. And thank you for letting me stay here once again."
M: "Perfect! And, you're welcome."
D: "Always!"
I smiled and watched Lia open her gift from her parents.
L: "Another pedicure set- uh thanks!"
I tried not to laugh. I knew she didn't care for it much.
M: "Alright let's open this one. From Aliya."
I started to get nervous. What if they didn't like what I had gotten them?
D: "Oh wow! I love this chocolate brand. And 100 dollars? Thank you that's so kind!"
M: "Oh and my this adorable little card. It's wonderous."
I smiled. Phew. They put it on the counter behind them and opened Lia's gift. Lia had gotten her mother a beautiful diamond shaped heart necklace with a gold chain, and she had gotten her dad a rolex. Which I couldn't help but think he probably had thousands of those.
M: "Thank you hon!"
D: "Another rolex- uh great thanks!"
I snorted. Oops- but I mean hey. It made us all laugh. I leaned back into the couch and knew this was gonna be a wonderful break.
