Lia's POV
I folded all my clothes neatly and tucked them into my suitcase. Aliya and I had been here for 6 days and it was time to go back. Today I dressed in a simple blue cardigan and black jeans. I walked into the guest room with my suitcase and watched Aliya struggle to fit everything in her suitcase. Once she finally got it under control, she walked over to me.
A: "Do we have to leave already?"
I giggled.
"Yeah, break ends on Tuesday."
She groaned and hauled her suitcase down the stairs. I followed her and met my parents in the hall.
M: "Oh sweetie we're gonna miss you."
My dad just nodded.
"Hey don't worry I'll be back for Spring break."
D: "You're right, and until then you better keep those grades up."
I giggled. Classic dad.
"Always."
M: "Well, bye you too! Safe travels!"
A: "Goodbye Mr. and Mrs. Summerwell!"
And with that, we were out the door. We walked to the nearest train station and boarded the train.
A: "That was such a fun visit."
"I know right!"
I leaned on Aliya's shoulder and watched the land zoom by. I felt my eyes get heavy and eventually I fell asleep.
----------------------
A: "Lia- Lia we're here!"
I slowly woke up
"Huh- what?"
A: "We're back c'mon get up!"
I opened my eyes and grabbed my suit case. Man, I was tired. I walked out, followed by Aliya and headed into school. There was no way I'm unpacking today. I opened our dorm door and threw my suitcase into my room. Aliya did the same. Then, Jamie walked out from the kitchen.
J: "Hey ladies! Did you have a good break?"
"Yeah, we for sure did."
A: "Oh my god yes. Lia's house is so pretty!"
Jamie snickered.
A: "Oh shush."
I tuned them out and walked into my room. I flopped down on my bed, hoping to take a nap. I heard Hampton come in and I sighed. Aliya peeked into my room.
A: "Hey we decided that we're gonna go to a new years eve party. Wanna come?"
I shook my head groggily. Which made her laugh.
A: "Okay, well if you need me my phone's on me."
I just nodded and drifted into sleep.
------------------------------Aliya's POV------------------------------
I walked out of Lia's room and slipped on my silver dress I had recently got from Lia.
"Party time!"
Hampton and Jamie cheered. We left the dorm and headed to the host's dorm. When we walked in, there were LED lights, punch, dancing and so much more. It was amazing. Me, Jamie and Hampton all got some punch and began to dance.
J: "Woo! Best party ever!"
I laughed.
"I agree!"
-------------------------
A little while later, it was like chaos had taken over. I'd had to kiss Jamie earlier since we played spin the bottle, but now Jamie was making out with Hampton and I was ready to go home. I picked up my purse and walked out feeling the fresh, school air hit my face. My shoes clicked against the deserted hallways. I finally reached my dorm and entered. I walked into Lia's room, seeing that now she was well rested and awake. I sat beside her and smiled.
L: "Hey! Did you have a good time?"
"I sure did."
The new years count down began to play on her phone. I looked at her, and when it reached 0 I kissed her. I slipped my tongue in her mouth and played around with it. After awhile of that, we pulled away and began to watch a movie. And, as we did, I reflected on my school life. The first few months were crazy, I mean with Lia being straight and all. But we'd managed to pull through, and so much has changed. I smiled and settled closer to her. Yup, the rest of the year is going to be great.
