IPIL’S POV:

The King calls me again. Admittedly, I have run out of reasons to keep him from knowing where Prince Ali really is. I’m afraid that the King will be furious, especially to me. I don’t know what he will do to me. Will he banish me from Faria? Prince Ali, where are you really? I’m shaking in fear right now. I don’t know what to do. I know I should’ve never agreed with this from the start.

I have reached the King’s Hall. With each step I take, is deep breath I’m making. My knees are weak and trembling. I can fly but I know that my wings would be shaking, too. I’m bending my head down, shy and afraid of the King. I can’t dare looking at him straight in the eyes. He’ll definitely know the truth inside my eyes.

“Ipil,” the King says authoritatively. “I believe you know why I called your presence in the King’s Hall. Am I right?”

I nod yes as I still keep my head bended. “Yes, your Highness,” I answer.

“So. . . Your response?”

“Forgive me, your Highness, but I don’t know where they are.”

“What?” the King expresses quite angrily. “So you mean to say that they’re in the kingdom? Since when?”

I have to be honest now, so I can free myself from guilt and disturbing conscience. No matter what my punishment will going to be. I take a deep breath before I answer, “Since a three weeks ago.”

I hear the King gasp. “Why did you keep this from me? Why did you lie, Ipil? I thought you could be trusted!”

I now have the courage to look at him. “I’m sorry, your Highness. Please forgive me,” I beg on my knees.

“Ilaw!” the King calls the royal guard.

“Yes, your Highness?” he comes immediately.

“Summon all of the guards in Faria, tell them to find the prince. Search for him in every corner of the woods, in every corner of the kingdom. Disguise yourselves as humans and go look at the human’s world if you can’t find him here. Do not return to me until you find him. Make sure he stays safe. Go.”

“Will do, your Highness.” And then Ilaw fleets away to obey the King.

“I’m sorry, your Highness,” I beg again still on my knees as tears are starting to flow from my eyes. “I know I have betrayed you and I want to make up with it. Please, don’t punish me, your Highness.”

“Things would have been more in control if you have told me earlier, Ipil,” the King says quite stern. “I’m disappointed in you."

I repeat uttering my apologies.

“If Prince Ali comes back here safe then you are free from the consequences of your betrayal,” the King announces. “But if you’re betrayal lead to Prince Ali’s harm, the Law of Nature will make its judgment on you, Ipil. Now, go. Help on searching for Prince Ali."

I stand up, do the curtsy and thank the King, walk my way out of the Hall and I start my journey on finding the lost prince. Prince Ali, my future lies on you. Silim, please keep Prince Ali safe. Mother Nature, help me. Guide them. Guide me.

Kyle’s POV:

It’s the two of us in my room now because Silim is still spending his time with Wave. They’ve been gone for almost five hours now. It’s a good thing for them, though. They’ll get to have time with themselves. So much that maybe, Wave will realize he loves Silim, too. Spending time together with the one you love really is a great privilege, isn’t it? But Ali told me he wants to have a sleep. He’s been sleeping for a couple of hours now, and I’m starting to get bored watching series from my phone.

Admittedly, Ali seems to be pale for two weeks now. I keep on asking him if he feels sick but he always assures me he’s fine. I do trust him, even to the point that I believe him when he says he’s fine. After all, maybe he can energize himself with their powers.

With nothing to do, I have decided that I want to sleep, too. I want to lay down on my bed with and hugging Ali. I miss having a hug with him already.

When I enter my room, I’m stunned to see Ali paler than before. I immediately run towards and I try to wake him up gently.

“Ali? Ali?” I pat his shoulder gently. “Time to wake up now.”

No answer. He doesn’t even move.

"Ali?” I’m starting worry. My voice rose. I touch his neck with the back of my hand to feel his temperature. Cold. Okay, it’s bad. It’s worse. My eyes are on the verge of letting out tears but I’m trying to hold it in, I’m trying to stay calm for Ali. With my hands shaking, I put my forefinger in front of his nostrils to feel if he’s still breathing. And thankfully, he still is, but in a slow tempo. This is bad. This is really, really bad. And now, the knowledge sinks in-- fireflies and city don’t mix.

Hello guyses!!!

I thought part III of Chapter 10 will take only a page of like at most 1,500 words, but I’m wrong. Word count is around 4,400 words. This definitely I didn’t expect. But, regardless, here it is!!!

I’m sorry that Kyle and Ali will have to experience this. I won’t give a hint about the flow of the last two chapters but, I’ll try my best to surprise you and at the same time, will make the story better.

As said, we’re down to our last two chapters, guyses!!!
