Mantle Police Airship
Sam is sleeping on a cot, Tai sitting next to her while Yuri flies them back to Dutch's place.
Sam looks peaceful, but then she starts to wake up.
Sam: *Stirring* Huh...where am I.
Tai: It's okay Sam your safe, we are going to take you somewhere where Manticore Can't find you.
Sam: *Grateful* Thank you...so much.
Tai nods, as he takes notice that Sam is looking around the cabin, then the cockpit. He knew what she was looking for.
Sam: *Where's Cayde?
Tai: ...He didn't make it.
Sam: *Worried* What do you mean?
Tai: He stayed behind to make sure that you got out of there safe. He really cared about you.
Sam says nothing she just gives Tai sad watery eyes and turns over so she is facing the bulkhead of the ship and away from Tai.
Tai: I'm Sorry.

Downtown Vacuo
The Straw House
Tai (with Sam) is once again on the opposite end of Dutch's table, but now he exudes an air of confidence that he did not have in their previous meeting. They were negotiating Tai's favor.
Dutch: So you want me to hide this little girl, away from the prying eyes of the Manticore.
Tai: Yes, that's all I want, after that you will never hear from me again.
Dutch: Very well, give her to me and I will give her a new Identity one that cannot be tracked.
Dutch's men move to take Sam, but Tai hesitates.
Tai: Can I trust you?
Dutch: I am a man of my word, Cayde would've attested to that, and id seems like this was his plan rather than yours am I not wrong.
Tai is still wary about leaving her with them.
Sam: It's okay Tai I'll go.
Tai *Supprised* Sam I...
Sam: If this was his plan, then I believe that it will work.
Tai: Okay.
Sam walks over to Dutch's men and Waves goodbye to Tai.
Tai: I hope to see you again, someday.
Tai: Me too kid, me too.

The ship lands near the Xiao-Long house, Summer hears it landing and rushes out the door to go and greet them. Tai and Yuri disembark just as Summer runs up and hugs them both.
Summer: Oh thank goodness you are both okay, we were so worried!
Tai: Sorry to worry you, Honey.
Summer: Did you do it?
Yuri: Yes, the girl is safe.
Summer: YES Oh I knew you could do it!
At this point they see Raven walking up to them but at a much slower pace.
Yuri: I see that Raven is better.
Summer: Oh yes she is, in fact, the doctor gave her exciting news, that she needs to tell Cayde like right now as soon as possible, is he still on the ship!?
Before they can answer her, Raven walked up to them.
Raven: Hey is Sam okay?
They nod.
Raven: Oh thank God.
She looks down at her belly and gently puts her hand on it.
Yuri: *whispers* Oh no...
Raven: where is Cayde, I...I need to tell him...well...
Summer: Cayde is going to be a DADDY!
Tai: ...What...
Raven: SUMMER!
Summer: Sorry I held it in for as long as I possibly could.
Raven: *Chuckles* It's okay, just as long as I can tell Cayde...
She turns to Yuri and Tai.
Raven: So where is he?
The two are silent, as they don't want to tell her.
Raven gets the feeling something is wrong.
Raven: *Worried* He's he is alright, isn't he?
Tai: I...I'm so sorry.
Summers smile fades
Summer: ...*Gasp*
Raven: ...!!! No. NO! He can't be... HE CAN'T...!!
She immediately takes her sword and opens a portal to Cayde.
When she leaves Summer starts crying into Tai's chest as he holds her tight, crying as well.
Vacuo Mud Pits.
Cayde is face down in the mud, his face cut, bruised, his left eye was swollen shut, his jaw was broken, his mouth was filled with blood and the side of his skull was caved in, he was beaten to the point where he was at the brink of death.
Manticore keeps on beating his skull in with his invincible fists causing Cayde's right eye to become blood red.
Cayde: *Coughs* U....I.............................
Manticore: Can you even comprehend what's happing to you anymore.
Cayde: *Coughs blood and teeth* I...
He bashes his skull in further when the portal opens, and Raven steps through.
Raven: NO!!
She rushes at Manticore with her sword drawn but Manticore shoots her with a mini rocket at her sending her flying and landing face-first in the mud.
She looks at Cayde, who looks back at her with a hint of sadness in his eyes, as it starts to rain down on them.
Manticore: Time to end this.
He lifts his metal foot over Caydes head and then...
*SMASH*

Raven: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Cries* NOOOOO!!!
Cayde's lifeless body was left twitching in the mud. Raven looked on in disbelief and horror, not yet processing what exactly happened.
Manticore looks over the Gunslinger's corpse for a second, before flying off into the cloudy skies to report the failed mission to Salem.
Raven horrified rushes over to Cayde's body turning him over on his back ignoring the sounds of broken bones and flesh and starts to shake him in a vain attempt to get him moving still in denial.
Raven: *Crying* No please you can do this to me please.......you're going to be a father, it's....it's not fair...we just reconnected...I...just...why couldn't we have our time....why....your...a...father....you...hear...and...you..will...make...a.great father....no matter what you said before.....I....know...I...know...you....will...you....you...wouldn't leave me...to....raise...her alone right.......please....I....I..can not do this without you...I...
She collapses onto his chest and starts crying relentlessly,
Raven: *Crying* Why...*Sniff* Please don't...p...please don't do this to me please...*Sniff*
The night sky shares in her sadness, at the loss of the Gunslinger.
