Hilltop
Raven is sitting on a hilltop a few miles from Summer and Tai's Cabin. She is now very pregnant, and she is sitting next to a gravestone that reads:
Cayde Solo, the fastest gun in the west
Raven smiles at the stone as if it were a stand-in for Cayde as she rubs her belly.
Raven: The doctor says that it's a girl and that she is due any day now.
She keeps on rubbing her belly with a smile on her face.
Raven: Tai told me that you promised to name our first child after him, *Giggles* but I am not naming our daughter Tai.
She looks affectionately at the gravestone of the man she loved and gently places a hand on where his name is engraved.
Raven: I really wish that you could be here to see me bring our daughter into this world.
She feels a kick.
Raven: Oh, there she goes, she's excited to see her daddy.
She looks at the name on the gravestone.
Raven: I hope she has your fighting spirit, and your golden hair.
Suddenly she hears footsteps along the grass.
Qrow: I thought I would find you here.
She doesn't turn around.
Raven: At the grave of my daughter's father, whatever gave you that idea?
Qrow: *Sigh* How's the baby.
He walks past Raven and leans on the tree next to Cayde's grave.
Raven: She's good, the doctor says that she is very healthy.
Qrow: Thought of a name yet?
Raven: No, not yet.
Qrow: Well now that we got the obligatory small talk over with, Raven, please come back home.
Raven: You already know what I am going to say.
Qrow: *Sigh* Raven we have spent months looking for Manticore, Yuri has used every resource she has in the MPD. We can't track him down.
Raven: That doesn't change the fact that he is still out there, and he needs to suffer for what he did to Cayde.
Qrow: Even if it means bringing back the family business?
Raven: Well if Ozpin won't help then I had to find other means of achieving my goal.
Qrow: Cayde destroyed the old tribe because he wanted you to be free from that past life. I thought you of all people would have respected his wishes.
Raven: I am going to pretend that you didn't say that, for both our sakes.
Qrow: *Ahem* Sorry, that was a low blow.
Raven: ...I can't let this go Qrow, I have to end this.
Qrow: And how exactly do you intend to do that rebuilding the Branwen Tribe and have them kill people.
Raven: If that's what it takes.
Qrow: *Sarcastic* Uh-huh. What have you become Raven?
Raven: What I needed' to be.
Qrow: And what about her?
Raven: ...
Qrow: You think Cayde would want you to raise his daughter in an environment filled with gangs and murderers?
Raven: Well what would you have me do!? Look in her eyes and tell her that I had every resource at my disposal but I gave up on finding her father's killer?
Qrow: That is not what I mean and you know it, Cayde is gone, and going on this revenge crusade won't bring him back.
Raven: ...
Qrow: Please come back home, Summer misses you, we all do.
Raven: *Somber* I know.
Qrow knew this was hard for her so he tries to lighten the mood.
Qrow: And I need my partner to go on missions for Oz, it's getting difficult going on missions by myself you know heh heh.
Raven: Where were you, brother? Where were you when Tai and Cayde went off on their own?
Qrow: I told you, Ozpin had me on other orders.
Raven: And that was more important than helping out your friends?
Qrow: Come on Raven, I know Ozpin seems like he is this all-knowing diety but there is no way he could have known about the trouble Cayde was in, or that he will go out and find her.
Raven: That's funny, I didn't think you were a comedian.
Qrow: What was so funny?
Raven: That Ozpin didn't know.
Qrow: Oh come Sis there is no way that...
Raven: Cayde told me that he spoke with Ozpin when he first found the girl.
Qrow: So?
Raven: Cayde told me that Ozpin is the one who put that bounty on Sam.
Qrow starts laughing.
Qrow: Come on Sis, you can't seriously believe that bullshit.
Raven: I didn't at first but, it does make sense Ozpin has always sought out silver-eyed warriors. He is the one who convinced Summer to attend a combat school rather than an engineering school, not to mention the dozen of silver-eyed students he has had in the past.
Qrow: Recruiting them and sending ciminals to abduct one, come on sis, Oz whouldn't do that.
Raven: Are you calling Cayde a lier?
Qrow: Well you know he has unfailally blaiming Ozpin for a lot of things ever since Anna and Nick died.
Raven: He wouldn't make something like that up!
Qrow: Well, the poor guy hasn't really been in his right in the head since Wake...
Raven shoot him a look with daggers in her eyes as if to say WATCH YOUR FUCKING TONE!
Qrow: Sorry...
Raven: That was a shitty thing to say.
Qrow: I know I...
Raven: Every time I close my eyes I see him, but not as he was in life, I just see the mangled face looking back at me. I can't remember him like that...I have to see this through.
Qrow: Killing him won't fix it Raven.
Raven: Will it? I guess we'll find out, sooner or later.
She opens a portal back to the tribe, and steps through, leaving Qrow alone.
He looks at Caydes grave.
Qrow: I'm sorry buddy, I tried.
