It's been a few hours since she and Cayde talked, and she was sitting at her dining room table thinking about said conversation and the million different ways it could have gone when she hears her doorbell go off.
*Ding* *Dong*
Raven Pov
Raven: Who can that be?
I go and walk to the door and open it and see the familiar smiling face of my best friend.
Summer: Hey.
Her radiant smile made me feel a bit better, but it does that for everyone.
Raven: Hey Summer, come in.
Summer: Thanks.
She walks in and takes a seat next to the kitchen table.
Raven: I got coffee brewing would you like a cup?
Summer: Yes, please.
As the coffee finishes, I pour us both a cup and take a seat next to her.
Raven: So what brings you here Sum?
Summer: Qrow told me about what happened.
Raven: Of course he did.
I just hope he didn't tell her how much I was crying.
Summer: I'm really sorry Raven, I know how much you wanted to see him again.
Raven: Well I did see him again, he just didn't want to see me.
Summer: Now you know that's not true, you were the most important person in his life.
Raven: I was, but then I fucked it up with one big mistake.
Summer: You both made mistakes, but I'm sure with some time you two can find that spark again.
Raven: You weren't there Summer there was so much hate in his eyes when he told me to leave.
Like he wanted me to get out of his life, but I just can't bring myself to say that yet.
Summer: Oh Raven, I'm so sorry, just give it a few days to cool off and I'm sure he will try to talk to you again.
I wish I had some of her optimism.
Raven: Thanks Sum, so has Tai had any luck?
Summer: No, and it breaks my heart to see him so sad. He clearly misses his best friend, almost as much as you do.
I can imagine the two where basically brothers.
