Raven sits alone in her tent eating a grilled leg of a Mistral Battle OX, well I guess her being alone could be debated since she was carrying a little one that was due any day now.
She just got done eating the last piece of meat of the bone, when she hears someone on the other side of her tent.
Vernal: Excuse me, ma'am.
Raven wipes her mouth with a napkin. and answers.
Raven: Yes.
Vernal: I know you asked not to be disturbed while you were eating but this is important.
Raven: Go on.
Vernal: We found the spring Madin.
It goes Quiet.
Raven: Are you certain?
Vernal: One of our scouts spotted a young girl defeating a horde of Beowulf's using, and I am quoting him directly here 'Crazy ass weather powers'.
Raven: Hmm, where did they see her?
Vernal: A few miles outside of Kuroyuri reason to believe she is staying at the town local INN, trying to lay low.
Raven: ...I will go and see for myself.
Vernal: Uh, are you sure that is wise ma'am, well considering you are due any day now?
Raven: Are you questioning my authority?
Vernal: Of course not, I am just saying I could take a group and we can go take care of this.
Raven: I appreciate the thought but this is something I have to do alone.
Vernal: A-Alright if...if you say so.
Raven: Has the second recon team reported in yet.
Vernal: No ma'am but I am sure they will.
Raven: *Hmph* Unlikely.
Vernal: Ma'am?
Raven: Go back to your post and don't tell anyone about the Spring Madin, understood?
Vernal: Yes Ma'am.
Raven gets up holding her belly, then walks over to the other side of her tent and stops right in front of her trophy display, and she picks up the vibranium knife that Cayde gave to her so many years ago.

She looks at the helmet of her lover sitting on her trophy case.

Later that night
Kuroyuri INN
The Spring Madin couldn't sleep, she was too nervous thinking she drew too much attention to herself, using her powers. So to cure her sleeplessness she brewed some decaf tea and was taking a walk in the gardens next to the INN. However little did she know that there was a bird of prey in the gardens waiting for her, looking for the right moment to strike.
Raven: Hello.
Spring Madin: *Gasp*
She turns around and she sees a very pregnant woman sitting on a nearby bench behind her drinking some milk.
Spring Madin: Oh, sorry miss I didn't see you there.
It's true that the Madin was scared of attackers, but Raven's unassuming appearance and warm kind tone made her drop her guard.
Raven: Oh it's fine, couldn't sleep?
Spring Madin: No, I just got a lot on my mind.
Raven: Want to take a seat?
Spring Madin: Oh thank you.
Raven extends her hand.
Raven: I'm Raven.
The Spring Madin shakes her hand.
Spring Madin: I'm Jean.
Jean looks down and sees that Raven is pregnant.
Jean: Oh when are you due?
Raven: Any day now.
Jean: Is it a boy or girl?
Raven: It's a girl.
Jean: Have you thought of a name yet?
Raven: No not yet, I am welcome to ideas.
Jean thought it was a little that the mother-to-be was asking for name suggestions from a stranger but it was a way to take her mind off the people who might want her powers, so she obliged.
Jean: Well, I like...
*STAB*
Jean: *Gag* Cuh, Cuh....
Ravens plan worked to perfection she managed to get Jean's guard down with her friendly expecting mother act that she managed to stab her knife into the side of her neck. The Madin looks at Raven with a shocked expression, but Raven looked back at her with empty emotionless eyes.
Raven: I don't have time for this.
She pulls out the knife from her neck causing Jean to bleed out faster. Jean is about to fall backwards but Raven stops that from happening as she grabs her face and forces her eyes open.
Raven: Look at me, don't think about anything else just look at me.
With little choice, she does so until life leaves the Madin's eyes.
Once that happens a surge of power leaves Jean's body and enters Ravens. She immediately felt the power flow threw her, a level of power she didn't think was possible to have.
It was at that moment she knew that she had what she needed to kill Manticore.
Branwen Tribe
The Next Day Raven was in her tent talking to vernal.
Vernal: Well now that you have the power are you ready to start looking for the Cyborg.
Raven: No need I am the Spring Madin now, he will come to me.
