The book of Genesis from chapter 1, we have an account of the creation of the earth and heaven, the garden in Eden, and a man who should care for it. It is needless to bore you with the narration but as a summary;

● Every living thing had been made from Day1 to Day5 as we have in Genesis chapter 1 from verses 1 to 25

● There was a deliberation to make man in God's own image from verse 26, which was enacted in verse 27.

● An elaborate account of the creation of man after a need for a man to till the ground - Genesis 2:1-7

● In Eden, a garden was planted on the eastside. It had a lot of goodies – precious stones and trees which are desirable to eat. Genesis 2:8-17

● A helper was made for the man, Adam, as it is not good for him to be alone. Genesis 2: 18-25

From the previous information provided in this book, you will notice that the above points are the P'shat of the text. The simple and plain meaning of the texts is seen in the summary above. But remember that our focus is RELEVANCE. Hence, we need to seek out the sod in the story to understand the message it is passing across and to what extent it relates to us today.

The hidden meaning (sod) of the happenings, persons and personality in the Garden of Eden is explained below. Read with an open mind.

It will be myopic to say that the Garden of Eden was the Garden of Eden and it ends at that. As much as the Garden of Eden existed in a place and realm, we can deduce and intelligibly affirm that it speaks also to us now. Narrowing down the garden to give relevance, we can say that Eden, today, is our body and physicality. We carry about Eden, our body. This body is created in all beauty and elegance. God has the best plan for our Eden and we must not ruin it.

By implication, the trees and other entities mentioned to be in the book of Genesis to be in the Garden of Eden will also be found in the body. This is not to say that trees grow within us, no! But the sod of the text about the Garden of Eden is seen and expressed in us. There is, therefore, a need to understand the human body from the perspective of Eden.

Let us visualize the Human body and pinpoint strategic positions/parts that form the trees, serpent, ground, and so on, which are in the midst of the garden.

Remember that God made man in his own image. See Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 and 27.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The divine forces that made man into God's image are closely related to the three nervous systems. "Let US..." refers to the forces from above connected to the tree of life and God (the father, son and Holy Spirit as trinity) in the Garden of Eden. Hence, the deposition of these points (the nervous systems) is to the end that the divine commune with the earthly which results in "...God created man IN HIS IMAGE..."

Evidently, our physicality was not just random selection, but each organ and system were rightly placed to make us realize our essence and God's plan for us. The saying "when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable" is real. In order not to misuse and abuse our body and physicality we ought to know and come to the realization that our body is Eden. These three nervous systems are essential points to which we are connected to the divine. And our body is indwelt by God, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit through this channel. The nourishments the body needs to function accordingly are made available through these channels.

The above paragraph is essentially true about THOSE WHO HAVE BELIEVED IN GOD, THE FATHER. Those who have believed the father, have the Holy Spirit inside them through these channels. God deposits the Spirit to be in the middle of the garden – our body. This central point in the Pineal gland. This gland is the eye of the spirit. It is what the spirit could use to see or access the body.

Indeed, we are not ordinary. Neither should we live like we are. Our Eden (physicality) sprang forth from the womb of our mothers. At birth, we got the ability and potential to be great and indwelt by the spirit of God. Remember, man was made in the image of God – this is a deposition at birth that develops into wholesomeness with age.

A newborn is a little garden that should grow up into an elegant great garden. Just as Adam and Eve was asked to work the garden, grooming it into greatness, in the same vein we are to nourish our physicality in the right way. Obviously, a child who is still underage can do little but with maturity, when he learns the sod of the Bible, he can do that which is right.
