When the battle of the mind is not won by the goodness of life - being products of consciously adjusting our sexual urges and desires by intentional and rational brain work – we experience a disconnection from God and goodness. Remember that it was when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit that they saw that they were naked. The consciousness of evil became prominent in them. So, they could no longer rest on the guardian and inner peace that abounds even when they weren't clad. Their knowledge about the world and its content became their priority, and their focus shifted from the internal worlds and God to the ephemeral and transient. When this happens in anyone's life, we can say there is psychological death. This disconnection from God and the factors that make the man (the brains, spinal medulla and nervous systems), is detrimental and only happens when we do not allow our consciousness and spirituality to take the lead.

Consciousness and intelligence over biology.
So far, the read looks like it condemns all there is about physicality and sexuality. However, this is not right. It is true that we are created with a body. It is also true that we have to live in and with it all our lives. However, our sexuality should not become the core of our lives. Our sexuality and "watering" gave room for our physical growth. And consequently the growth of our intelligence, consciousness and thought pattern. Standing tall amidst other animals as humans entails, we make judicious use of our intellect and consciousness. And we do not totally rely on our sexual instinct like other animals would. Our biology, physicality and sexuality are not all there is. Always take consciousness with you also. Just like the popular saying "follow your heart but take your brains with you".
