Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Moving ahead, God's decree to the man he has made in his image was that they should be fruitful and multiply. We have so condensed it to mean sexual reproduction only. Do you not know that the possession of a creative mind is being fruitful? Fruitfulness is not entirely expressed in sexuality alone, God's word to us asks that we be fruitful in our minds, dealings, and activities.
The act of being fruitful is what man is capable of. Hence the instruction – BE fruitful. We need not pray to be fruitful and multiply, we only harness the goodies which have been deposited in us for greatness, fruitfulness and multiplication.
A child who is just born does not understand this ability yet. So, he cannot be fruitful in these ways because he has not been given the propelling. Till he matures in age, he remains a child that is unfruitful in the mind, works and activities.
Have you ever wondered why these young folks are naïve, innocent and cannot distinguish right from wrong? They work by instinct or the dictates of elderly ones. They do not have, or better put, have not developed the element and potential that enables fruitfulness and multiplication.
What is this element and potential that is responsible for fruitfulness and multiplication which advances with age/growth?
Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
A mist! Yes, a mist! The plants as used in the text above did not grow BECAUSE there had been no rain. In the same vein, our physicality needs watering, a propellant to grow. However, we see that the cause of the plants was not irredeemable because THERE WENT UP A MIST. The mist in our physicality and body will imply sexual hormones. It fuels our growth; our physicality depends on the influence of these hormones on the glands (endocrine). The mist from the earth which is our sexual liquids from the respective glands – testicles and ovaries – nourishes our body and builds it up into a beautiful garden like it was proposed. As useful as this mist is, youths who have grown up to be beautiful, jeopardize the potentials therein in unimaginable ways. For the mist to nourish our lives and physicality normally without fault, it needs to stay uninterrupted. Activities that interrupt the normal function includes masturbation, fornication, violence, hard drugs, and many other vices.
This is what God spoke about when he said of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you should not eat. When we do not interrupt the physical development by involving in these vices, we become trees that are pleasant to sight and good for food.
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
How does the pleasantness come about? The beauty of the sexual forces blooms in our body and physicality. The right shapes in the right places all make up a beauty to behold. No doubt, we are trees that are pleasant to sight and good for food. Be mindful to note that hormones and energies are formed from the three major nervous systems earlier discussed and they express themselves particularly through the knowledge of good and evil in our physical body.
Again, we should see to it that we do not interrupt the processes of this mist and the growing tree. Possible interruptions of the proper functioning and development of the body from the effect of the hormones include:
DRINKING: It is of the truth that we could literally not want to drink. However, the urge might not let the resistance to be strong. The knowledge of good and evil has brought us to this same understanding.
DOING DRUGS: The same issues of doing drugs could be taken as our knowledge of good and evil. It runs right inside us. It is what takes us to do these things. Of course, doing drugs affects us but we keep at it for the same reason.
FORNICATION: Many times, we wonder how some people fornicate. Of course, it affects the body's system and makes aging rapid. Yet, many people will still prefer to do it. Well, the hormonal imbalance is caused by the system that runs in our body. It does not know how disciplined you are once it gets hold of you.
MASTURBATION: This is another thing people engage in as humans. This is a self make-out. It is a temporal pleasure. It secretes from the hormones too. This means that its proclivity of occurrence is in everyone. This is something that is in humans. They cannot be separated from humans. They all have the system in them
SMOKING MARIJUANA/TOBACCO: This is that one finds pleasure in smoking to get high. Both the urge and the act of doing it are all forms of lots
Other things are Ego, Gambling and the list goes on.
