I pull up outside of Caden's house. No lie. He got a nice ass house. I park next to his car and pause for a minute. I have no idea how this is going to go. He might not have the same attitude as the other day. I sigh and get out of my car. I go up to the door and ring the doorbell. He open the door in sweats. Only sweats. No shirt. Just sweats.

"H-Hey. What are you doing here? "

"We need to talk. " I say.

"Ok. Yea. Come in. "I step in and follow him to the sofa.

" First before you say anything, I set up an appointment for the paternity test. "I say sitting down.

" When? "

"Tomorrow. She has an early out and she gets out around my lunch break so we'll go around 1."

"Ok. Well. " He says awkwardly.

"It's bothering me how calm you are about this. Can't you yell or something. " I say.

"What do you want me to say Tania? If she's my daughter, I have no choice but to do this. " He says frustrated.

"If? What the hell do you mean 'if'. She's your daughter Caden. "I say getting irritated.

"I don't know that. "

"But I do! You were that last person I was with that could actually get me pregnant. "

"When did you find out you were pregnant? " He asks. I stare into his forest green eyes. The same ones my daughter has.

"Remember the day you asked me to prom? " He nods.

"You were avoiding me so I went to your house that morning to talk. " He nods again.

"I remember. Why is this important? "He asks.

" I found out hours before I went to your house that morning. "I say slowly.

" You knew. You knew that day and didn't tell me! "He starts to get louder.

"Yea." I say. My eyes start to water.

"You knew that day and you waited 4 MONTHS TO TELL ME! 4 MONTHS TO TELL ME TANIA! "He starts to tell standing from the couch. A tear falls.

" I'm not blaming you for that Caden. That was my fault. "I say with a few more tears falling.

" Why did you wait? "He say calming down a little bit.

" I was scared. And there was so much going on. Devin's trial, me getting into college, and both my dad and Andrew not talking to me for 2 months, school. "I wipe under my eyes.

"You should've told me. "He sighs sitting down.

"I was avoiding you and then you were avoiding me. "

"Well we could've avoided this if you had told me. "

"Do you still not believe me? " I ask.

"I don't know what to believe anymore. " He says rubbing his face. I scoff and find my most recent picture of Sabrina. I shove my phone in his hand.

"Look at her. She has your hair, your eyes, even you ears. How can you look at that picture and not believe she's yours? "He doesn't say anything. He just stares at the picture. I shake my head and stand. I grab my phone from his hand.

" What happened to the Caden who said he would always be there for me? Who wanted to be in my life regardless of our relationship. What happened to the Caden who was my best friend? I want that guy back. Call me when you find him. "

I walk out of his house. I get into my car and start it. I pull out if his driveway and start driving towards my house. I start to cry once I get to the main road.

I knew this was going to happen. Now we have to go the legal way. I didn't want this but we have to go this way. I start to feel the stress coming on and I cry harder. I pull over and call Stephanie.

"Hey girl. "

"Steph." I barley get out.

"What happened? Who am I going to murder. Cause I can get away with it. Or I can throw his ass in federal prison. Which would you like? " I shake my head still crying.

"Stephanie."

"I'm sorry. This is serious. Ok I'm coming over. I'll be there in five. " She hangs up.

I calm a little and start to drive home. We both get there at the same time. She runs to my door, opens it, and hugs me. I hug her back and start to bawl.

"Ok it's ok. Tell me what happened. "

"I'm so stressed. I don't know how much longer I can take it. " I say.

"Hey." She says pulling back and making me look at her.

"You can get through this. It's going to be hard but you've been through worse. I'm here and so is your family. Don't forget that. " I nod.

"Now stop crying and let's go inside and drink a lot of wine. " I wipe my eyes and turn off the car. I get out lick it and go inside.

Sabrina and I walk into the DNA lab. I go up to the desk.

"Hi I have an appointment. "

"What's the first name? "

"Tania."

"Ok can you verify your last name and date of birth?

"Davis, June 9,1993."

"Okay. I have a document for you to fill out. It's just a few questions about Sabrina, like allergies. " I nod.

She prints the paper, attaches it to a clip board and hands it to me. I fill out the paper and hand it to her. After she put in the information she takes us back to a room and gets everything ready.

"Why am I doing this mom? " Sabrina suddenly asks.

"Well, you are getting a test done. The doctor is going to swab you cheek and check something for me. " I say. I try to explain it without really telling her anything.

"What are you checking for? "

"Just to see if your healthy. " I smile just as the doctor comes in.

"So I'm going to be doing a cheek swab. Doesn't hurt. It will be super fast okay. " Sabrina nods.

The doctor takes the swab and un packages it, after washing her hands and putting gloves on of course. She walked in front of Sabrina and asks her to open her mouth and say 'ahh". She quickly swabs Sabrina's cheek and puts the swab in another package. She sets it down and writes some things down on a form she has.

"Okay. We are all done. "

"Sabrina will you go wait outside the door for a second. I have to ask the doctor some questions. " She nods and leaves the room.

"How long will it be until we get the results? " I ask.

"So it will be a few days after he comes in. Do you happen to know when he is coming? "

"He said he's coming today. "

"Then yes, if he comes in today you will get the results in a few days. "

"Ok. And he gets a copy sent to him as well? "

"Yes.you both get your own copies Sent out to the addresses you provided to the receptionist. "

"Ok I think that all of my questions for now. Thank you. "

"You're welcome. And if you have any more questions don't hesitate to give us a call. " I stand and leave the room. I see Sabrina sitting in the waiting room on her phone.

"Come on Rina. " She stands and we leave the office. When we get in the car I text Caden.

'We're done. You can come in anytime but you should come in today, like you said you would, so we can get the results faster. ' he texts back a 'k' and I leave it alone. I start the drive back home and start to stress over every thing again.
