Tania's POV
"So all he said was that he wanted to have a serious talk. " Jaden says sitting at my island.
"He admitted that he regrets not being here. And he did ask when he's going to meet her. " I say.
"When is that happening? " He asks. I shrug.
"Sometime next week. "I eat some grapes I got from my fridge.
" So he won't be able to really say anything to her tomorrow huh. "Stephanie says.
" That's completely up to him. Honestly I don't care how he does or even when. I just didn't want her upset tomorrow. "
"This could be all been avoided if he had stepped up when you told him you were pregnant. "Jaden mutters.
" Yea, well I should've told him the day I found out. I literally went to his house to talk to him that day but I never said anything about it. "
"He can't blame you for that. You had just found out. You probably hadn't even processed it yet. "Stephanie says.
" Have you talked to him? "I ask Jaden. He shakes his head.
" No. But Cassie did call me and say that he went over there And was coming up with excuses as to why he was never there. "
"Cassie? His sister? "
"You've never met her? " He asks. I shake my head.
"There shouldn't be an excuse though. " Stephanie says.
"I can already hear him now 'I was scared' or 'I don't know how to take care of a baby'. "
"You didn't either. I remember you were so scared. She legit cried before Rina was born because she thought that she was going to forget her at the hospital. " Jaden starts laughing. I chuckle.
"I was serious. I thought that I might forget her. "
"So much happened that year. I thought that I had bad high school drama until I met Tania. " Stephania says.
"Now that's on another level. But how did you guys meet? "Jaden asks.
" We were roommates. Until she had Sabrina. "He nods. It was quiet for a minute before I remembered about Stephanie.
"So what's going on with your divorce? " I ask. She rolls her eyes.
"He's still fighting me on everything. He just won't compromise with anything. It's getting annoying. Like I'm just about to tell him he can have everything so I can move on. "She sighs.
Stephanie was married for a year and a half. She was with this guy for 3 years. They were toxic. Almost as toxic as me and Caden. Except with real grown up problems.
" What do you mean, take everything? "Jaden asks. He knows a little bit about her situation.
" Our house, my car, and all of my money in our joint account. "She says.
" He can't do that, can he? "We nod.
" Yep. He can literally take everything I have. My house, my car, my money, I will have nothing. I bet if he could take the clothes off my back, he would. He's just an asshole. "She says.
" It's sad. I don't know why he's like that. "
"I'm scared he's going to get everything. Like I can only get 50% of what's in our account and if he gets everything else..... " She covers her face with both of her hands and starts to cry. I go to her and wrap my arms around her. I lean my head against hers.
