-Kate's POV-

I was walking along the streets of L.A.

It was 4am and the streets were quiet and deserted.

I had slept a few hours in a dull alleyway, I didn't want to return home.

I don't know where home is anymore.

Harry was due to leave back to London in 2 days.

Although I was mad at him, something in me was sad I won't see him again.

I can't believe he blew me off, my idol.

I have given him so many chances and he just doesn't listen.

I walked around like a homeless person for hours, I didn't get much sleep.

I decided to hang around the shops for a while and get something for breakfast.

I was snacking on my McDonalds hunger buster burger when my phone lit up with Facebook notifications.

The headlines read:

"Harry heartbreaker."

"Harry denies knowing fan."

"Who is Harry's mystery girl?"

"The ellen show heats up Styles."

This is not what we wanted, we wanted to clear this up.

Two days before he leaves he breaks my heart.

I sat down on an old park chair and watched the beautiful sunrise. I smiled as the warm rays of the sun soaked into my skin.

-Harry's POV-

I was walking around the streets with the boys plus Sophie (She refused to stay at home) looking for Kate. She ran off after I was so mean to her last night on the interview.

I don't know what came over me.

"Harry, this is all your fault." Sophie reminded me.

I felt so bad.

I was meant to be packing for London right now, I was due to leave soon. I just can't leave without saying goodbye.

A few times we had been approached by some fans on the streets, we had managed to keep ourselves on the down low. We pulled our hoodies over our faces to avoid being recognised.

Kate could be anywhere and if anything has happened to her, I would feel so bad.

Niall suddenly came to a stop, Liam tripped over the back of him.

"Hold up," he whispered.

"What is it Niall?" Louis grabbed onto his arm.

"Hold up, I see it too." Louis smiled.

"What?" I asked.

"I see an idiot who was a dick to his girlfriend and now we are walking around the streets of L.A at 5:30 in the morning looking for her." He replied

I punched him in the arm.

"No, take me seriously guys." Niall looked really concerned.

Niall grabbed onto my arm and and pulled me around the corner of the building, the others followed.

"The paps Harry, they are over in the park hiding."

"Not again, can't they leave us alone." I was so angry.

"We can't be seen with her..." Niall motioned his hands discretely towards Sophie. "They will think we have another one."

"Damn." I held my head in my right hand.

"Where do we go?" Zayn asked.

"Anywhere but here." Louis replied.

"We go where Kate would go." I smiled.

"Where is that Haz?" Niall asked.

-Kate's POV-

I had no idea where I was going. I did have a feeling that the others were out searching for me. This was kind of fun running away. It gave me a sense of adventure and freedom, I never really had any of those things.

I decided to pop back into the mall to reflect on when all this madness started.

I had my card with me, I'm sure it won't hurt if I spend a little money.

I was walking through the main entrance, I took in a deep breath and let out a loud sigh which earned me a few glares.

I reflected, if Rilee had never told us about the detour, if we hadn't followed her, if I didn't open that door, I wouldn't be here today and I would just be another desperate boy crazy fan searching the streets in hope that the boys would one day notice me.

I really was lucky, but I just didn't notice it.

I was strolling down the mall when the glassons shop sign came into view, I just had to go in.

The autumn season has already come in, I must organize with Simone to come after school someday to spend our vouchers we got last Christmas.

The clothes are awesome, I find quite a few that I really want to try on including a sexy stripped black and white dress I found hiding at the back of the racks.

No one seams to be manning the changing rooms so I let myself into one.

"It looks good on you." A deep British voice whispered from behind the curtain.

"Harry!" I screamed.

He pulled open the curtain and pulled me into a warm hug.

"Don't run away like that." He told me.

I forgot that I was meant to be mad at him.

"Did you really mean all of the things you said."

"Of course not, that was business Harry."

"I want to know, who is the real Harry."

He held my head in his soft hand.

"I hate to say it, real Harry is the one the paps caught on camera."
