Chapter 23:

Mikey pulled away before Takemichi could completely wake up, to him I'm still technically a guy and if he saw Mikey and I kiss, he might get the wrong idea.

"Ouch!" Takemichi said trying to get up, his face is starting to get swollen after all. After a while, he seemed to finally notice Mikey and me sitting beside him.

"You're finally awake" Mikey greeted

"I thought you'll never wake up," I told him.

"Mikey-kun! and the 6th division captain!" He said surprised to see Mikey 

"We've met a couple of times and yet you don't know my name" I whined, he laughed awkwardly and apologized "just call me Aki"

"Takemitchy, you don't like Kisaki?" Mikey asked. he got mad at me for disliking Kisaki but he asked Takemichi nicely. The nerve of this midget.

Takemichi couldn't answer the question straight, but you could tell he didn't like Kisaki.

"It's sure is hard to make your organization bigger" Mikey started off "Just when we welcomed new people, some became to quit"

Baji leaving really took a toll on Mikey, it's like a part of him was missing. Baji was with Mikey even before me so I can understand that this was hard for him. 

"The road to achieving the dream is long." Mikey said sadly "I have a favor to ask, Takemitchy"

"Yes?" Takemichi listened to Mikey's request

"You see, Aki and I have this childhood friend, we used to train in the same dojo back then," Mikey told Takemichi

"Is it Akaza-chan?" Takemichi asked, "I've never seen Akaza-chan and Aki-kun together though?"

Crap.

"It's not Akaza, Akaza and I aren't close, she was always with Mikey's older brother learning about bikes" I laughed awkwardly. Shoot! I'm being sus here.

"This childhood friend of mine, we were neighbors, not particularly close or anything" Mikey continued "He would always pick a fight with me, and I beat him up every time" 

Those were the gold old days. Baji would come to me every time he got beaten up by Mikey. And I'd make Mikey apologize for Baji even though Baji was the one picking fights.

"He kept trying to fight you over and over? Doesn't sound like a smart guy" Takemichi said.

 "That's the guy who punched you earlier" Mikey told Takemichi

"I was punched by two guys earlier soooo..." Takemichi asked confused.

"The first division captain, Baji Keisuke" Mikey answered "You can't understand what he's thinking, right?"
