It was the middle of November, and you could tell. The air had a grown colder as the days passed, each leaf growing a hue of orange or brown. You cozied up more in your jacket as you walked back to your dorm from your last class. Your favorite part of the day, getting to get back to your dorm room and relaxing.

Sitting on his bed having beat you to the room, was your roommate Gerard Pitts. He was fiddling with papers and metal objects  ( you assumed it was another project him and Steven were doing, because when is it not? ) and taking notes. He looked up and smiled his sweet smile. You shook of your layers of clothes and hung them up. Gerard set his things aside as he asked ," Where have you been? Our last class ended almost 30 minutes ago, Y/N." You sat down on your bed and wrapped a blanket around your shoulders. " Of course Dr.Hager held us longer, he was in such a crabby mood today. Thank goodness it was my last class of the day," You explained as you flopped down on your bed.

Foot steps erupted throughout the hall, so loud even you and Gerard could hear. You peeped out the door, and saw others looking to see where the sound was coming from. You instantly knew who it was when they started to yell. " Charlie! I got the part!" The most beautiful boy you had ever seen, yelled with excitement. He continued to tread heavily with positive energy as he came fully into the hall.
" I'm gonna play Puck!" He announced, smiling brightly. Everyone was cheering him on, patting him on the back.

You know how much this part meant to him. This was his opportunity he seized. His carpe diem, if you will. You encouraged him each day he spoke about his dreams to go for them, and that his potential was like no other. Many nights were spent with him rambling on about how he wanted to do this play and how he felt stirred up, passionate. Of course, you didn't mind though. If Neil Perry were talking about anything, it would be hard to not be captured by his wonderful voice, and handsome face.

He approached you and Pitts, his joy radiating. Your roommate patted him on the back and congratulated him. You had liked Neil for a while now, and wanted to scream with happiness with him, but you didn't wanna seem weird.

Neil looked at you, a twinkle in his eyes that gave you butterflies. He smiled even bigger, which you didn't know was possible, and took you into his arms and hugged you. He lifted you off your feet with the force of how hard he was hugging you! It felt so nice to be held by him and be able to share his happiness.

He buried his face into your neck and whispered,
" Thank you for encouragement, Y/N. It means more than you know." You blushed and hugged him tighter.

You pulled apart and realized most of the students in the hall had gone back into their dorms, other than some stragglers walking. If a lot of time had passed in the moment, you couldn't tell. It wasn't long enough.

" Um, well I guess I'll see you at study group in a few?" You blushed. He nodded and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. " I can't wait." He responded, and walked to his room. You stood in the now empty hall, sounds of boys talking and laughing muffled by the walls. You wanted to be in this moment forever, cheeks glowing from the ecstatic feeling of love for the boy you wanted to be with. A feeling of proudness.

" Get in here, love bird. You can't stand out there all evening." Pitts chuckled. " Pittsie, you ruined my moment! But I guess you're right." You responded, shaking your head and walking back in the room, a smile on your face.

You couldn't wait for study group with all your friends later!
