(this story is kind of mature. ⚠️)
Charlie Dalton was popular with the ladies, that was a known fact around Welton. He was a troublemaker with an undeniable charm. Teachers either adored him or hated him; and it was mostly the latter of the two. But, alas, he didn't care. Well, it was more like he didn't think. He didn't think about his disrupting the class. Didn't think about studying for his endless tests. And he definitely wasn't thinking when he invited two girls to a Dead Poets Society meeting with you also in attendance.
You and Charlie definitely weren't a couple, but there was tension between you two. Being one of the first few girls at Welton, you caught everyone's eye. Your love for poetry and writing got you in the secret club and earned you a spot in the friend group with Charlie and his friends. They treated you like one of their own. Charlie was a little different though. Many a night were spent with the two of you talking about anything and maybe slipping in a kiss or two. So, it was like a harsh slap to the face seeing the two girls come in the cave on Charlie's arm.
As Charlie introduced the two girls, you and the others were glancing at each other. 'What has Charlie done this time?' , you thought as you felt your cheeks flush, your neck become hot. They finally settled in when Charlie asked; "Are we gonna have a meeting, or what?" His eyebrows shot up as he popped a cigar in your mouth. If looks could kill, you would be going to jail for life for the murder of Charlie. How dare he? "Yeah, if you guys don't have a meeting how do we know if we wanna join?" One of the girls asked. "Join?!" You and Neil asked at the same time in disbelief. You roll your eyes and scoff. "Got a problem, Y/N?" Charlie asked, eyebrow cocked. You just shook your head and kept your eyes to the cave floor.
Soon after, Charlie began reciting poems to the girls to charm them. Of course it worked, because why wouldn't it? The two girls were enamored and had stars in their eyes. As he recited the poems, you felt your face get hot and tears threaten to fall out of your eyes. You made an effort to dress sort of nice and do your hair and makeup tonight, put on a good outfit under your robe. You weren't gonna admit it was all for Charlie, but who else pressed you against the cave wall as he made out with you? Definitely not Neil, although you wouldn't be completely opposed to that. Charlie finished off the last poem dedicated to the girl named Gloria, and looked so please with himself. "There's plenty more where that came from." Charlie smirked, looking around at the guys for their approval. That's it, that was enough. You suddenly stood up and pointed your finger at Charlie. "No, literally, there's not more where that came from. Guess what girls? That wasn't even Charlie's poems! That was Shakespeare and Byron! Do you guys know who that is?" You asked at the girls, looking at them. They shook their heads and laughed at you. You barked a humorless laugh. "No, ha, you wouldn't, would you. You know what Charlie? Enjoy these two girls, because I'm fucking done. Goodbye!" You threw your arms up and walked out.
The cold air hit you evenly and you inhaled, and kept inhaling sharply. With each breath, the more upset you became. The tears that were gathering in your eyes were falling now as you walked to a small stream in the night. You sat on the edge and began to cry. You were beating yourself up for that. It wasn't those girls fault they didn't know poems like you or your friends did. It wasn't their fault they were charmed by Charlie. It was Charlie's fault for leading you on. It was both of your faults for not clarifying what was going on between the two of you. Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment from the scene you caused back at the cave. Everyone was probably confused on why you did what you did. You hadn't told anyone about you and Charlie. You threw your head back and silently cried. "Oh, my God. Why did I do that?" You said to the stars, on account of Charlie being back at the cave with his new girlfriends.
"Because you had a right to." A voice suddenly said. You screamed and whipped your head around to see Charlie. His eyes were wide and he was looking around frantically. "Y/N, you're gonna get us caught if you scream like that again." Charlie whisper-yelled, shushing you. Your nose filled with his familiar scent as he sat down beside you. You wiped your tears and refused to look at him. "Y/N, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I am sorry. I just-I wasn't thinking and..." Charlie trailed off, struggling to find the right words. "What? Your new girls left and now you only have me? I'm not gonna be your sloppy seconds, Dalton." You sighed, and finally looked at him. His gaze softened as he looked at you, and he brought his hand to the side of your face, cradling it. You turned your head away, not wanting to be touched by him. Charlie huffed and said, "Y/N, you're not my last resort. It's just... we never really said what we were and... I just wanted to look cool in front of the other girls. I don't know, I just felt... if I couldn't get closure from you, I could get it from someone else." He looked down in shame. "What? I wasn't the only one who wanted to keep this a secret. You said you wanted no one to know, and that it made it more 'special'. " You responded, making air quote symbols when you said special. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I really am. I just... I would do anything to make this okay again. I would do anything to be your man." Charlie begged, his voice cracking with desperation.
You suddenly blushed, and felt your stomach flip. Charlie Dalton? Begging for your love? Holy shit, you never would've guessed this would happen. You forgave Charlie in that moment, but you wanted to play with him for a second. "How much are you sorry? What would you really do?" You smirked, and your hair waved in the night breeze. The moonlight was hitting your eyes in a way that would make Charlie fall out if he weren't already sitting down beside you.
"Anything, Y/N. God, you're so gorgeous. So, so beautiful. Can we please make it official so I can kiss you all the time?" Charlie asked, pleading. You laughed and Charlie frowned. You leaned in and gave him a small, innocent peck. You searched his eyes and waited. Daring him. He groaned and suddenly kissed you so passionately that you felt dizzy. He missed almost like he needed your lips to survive. You moved one of his hands to your chest, the other to your waste. You hands were traveling all over his body, through his hair. The way that Charlie was so frantic and desperate with how he kissed made you so turned on. To see the always cocky Charlie become like putty under your touch was a sight to behold. He gently cradled your head as he laid you down on the ground, never breaking the kiss. The way Charlie's hands were working certain parts of your body had you breathlessly moaning and your legs spreading. He had never, ever kissed you like this. He moved from your lips to your jaw and neck, sucking and biting as he worked his way down. There were sure to be bruises all over you tomorrow. Your eyes shut in ecstasy and you let out a shrill whimper. You suddenly caught his lips into yours and sat up. You threw one leg over to one side of him, your other leg on the opposite side, straddling him. Your hips couldn't help but gyrate against his as you continued to kiss. With each move, your lower region began to pulsate and it got more severe as Charlie began moaning and whimpering with lust and want. "Is this a yes to us then?" Charlie asked against your lips, gasping as he continued to explore your mouth, continued to bruise your lips with his own. You tried to nod, but just ended up kissing Charlie even harder.
The other poets and the two girls were long forgotten as you two kissed the night away. The kisses sealed every doubt you had about your relationship, every fear you had that Charlie wouldn't be faithful. He would be the best boyfriend you ever had and would change your life for the better.
A/N: if there is one thing I can do, it's writing a Charlie fic where you just end up totally kissing at the end. I'm a sucker for it! I hope to be writing more soon, but for now, enjoy. Thank you.
