Adalyn's POV

      My grandma continued "I'm pretty sure Avery is trying to give everyone powers so the Dara family isn't special anymore, he's jealous. He went centuries trying to find some way to transfer powers and I don't know if he has or not but, he's trying to kill Adda to get her Power cells. He thinks he is the good guy, and too a child's perspective who wants powers yeah, this seems like a great idea but, people could die. It's not good when you're willing to sacrifice people for your revenge and dreams". Carmen listened intently and waited for my grandma to finish.

     Carmen said, "He's found a way to give people powers, he experimented on us, and it worked". Carmen explained further to my grandma, and she looked shocked. My grandma said, "Well, we just going to have to is lock him up". Carmen sighed and said, "We have to kill him". My grandma got up and said, "Look, you should never kill someone, and think about it. You're asking your little sister to kill someone; you're not taking the steps to do that, Adda is".

     Carmen looked at me, his eyebrows were furrowed but his eyes seemed apologetic. He sighed harshly and left it alone, we continued the conversation until it was time to go. Carmen and Genie decided they wanted to come with me to my house. More like Genie wanted to meet her parents and Carmen was dragged along. We teleported to my house I shouted "Mom, dad, I have someone you would want to meet".

     My dad walked in and said, "Another boy to intimidate". My mom walked in after and said, "I thought you and Ash were together?". My mom set her eyes on Genie and Carmen and started to tear up. My dad just stood there; he was shocked but confused. Genie said, "I'm your daughter Genie".

     My dad stepped closer to Genie and hugged her, he said, "This is my little girl? your so beautiful". Genie smiled and sniffled, Carmen was still stand offish. My dad said, "Ever since your mom told me she let you go, she forced me not to go find you. I knew you would come back". He was sniffling, I get it he found his kids. Carmen was now glaring at my mom, she smiled sadly and said, "You probably resent me for bailing on you like that but-".

     Carmen cut her off and said, "YOU ABANDONED ME, YOU KNOW WE NEVER GOT ADOPTED. THEY JUST PUT US IN A FOSTER HOME. IT WASN'T LIKE IT WAS A GOOD ONE EITHER, THE LADY LEFT US TO FEND FOR OURSELVES. THE LADY'S HUSBAND WOULD FLIRT WITH GENIE, HE WAS FORTY-FIVE AND SHE WAS TWELVE. I SAW HIM TRY TO TOUCH HER ALLURA, WE HAD TO RUN AWAY AND FEND FOR OURSELVES. ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR IRRESPONSIBILITY, WE DIDN'T ASK TO BE HERE. SO SORRY IF I RESENT YOU, I HAD TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BE A MOM AND DAD TO MYSELF AND GENIE".

     Carmen was crying at this point, Farrah walked out from the kitchen and said, "Dang, and I thought I had daddy issues". We were all sad until we heard that, Genie turned to the side and started laughing. I patted her back because she was choking. Carmen was too distracted being angry to hear what was going on. My mom was crying softly, she seemed hurt but understood where Carmen was coming from.

     Genie stopped laughing and Carmen said calmed down, "We didn't ask to be here 'Allura'. I'm happy you didn't do the same to Adda because she doesn't deserve that. From what I see she is smart, observant, funny, responsible, and powerful. I'm glad the second time was the charm". Carmen started to walk away but, Genie stayed.

     Carmen turned around and said, "Come one Nini". Genie looked at him not convinced. She turned around and said, "You're so quick to get mad about someone who abandoned their family when you're so quick to abandon them. Can't you see they want to get to know you?". I sighed and Farrah stepped in, "Genie, I get his side to. No offense Laura but, he took care of your kids when that's your job. You have to give him time and space".

     Genie and my mom nodded, I said, "I think we're all hurt and affected by this". Carmen walked closer to me and said, "Adda I trust you". My eyes widened at the sudden admittance of trust. That is very important to me. I smiled and said, "So do I".

     Carmen left and Genie stayed, we all sat down on the couch. Farrah sat too because she is part of the family. My mom said, "So do you have a boyfriend?". My eyes widened at the invasion of privacy my mom already took. Genie shifted in her seat and said, "Actually, I'm bisexual, not that it matters I just thought it should be said".

     Farrah seemed to get uncomfortable, she started moving in her seat. I turned to my dad who was shocked and my mom who had her jaw to the floor. I shrugged it off, it's important information but it doesn't change who she is personality wise. Genie smiled sheepishly and my dad said, "Oh we're fine with it, it's just I never put my hands on a woman before so". I laughed, he just met her three seconds ago and he's already going on daddy protective mode.

     I laughed and said, "I'll deal with it". My dad looked at me shocked and said, "Well if you can handle that, I'll handle Ash". Farrah laughed and said, "Trust me, I'll deal with it". We all laughed; Farrah is a lot crazier than my dad, so we didn't doubt it. I smiled, I said, "So, where are you and Carmen currently staying?".

     Genie said, "near the café, that's why we ask you to meet us their all the time". I furrowed my brows, something about the way she said that was off. I said, "I think you avoided the question". Genie laughed nervously and said, "Well, we don't currently stay anywhere. We just bounce around a lot".

     My eyes widened at the opportunity, I said, "Move in with us, we have six more rooms in here. You can take the one upstairs on the third floor". She sighed and said, "You mean the one with our old baby stuff?". I smiled and said, "Yeah that- wait. How'd you know about the baby stuff".

     Genie looked around at us nervously and said, "Well, Carmen wanted to see what you looked like. So, we went there and followed you. Carmen stopped time so we could get in, and I turned us invisible so we could spy on the household". I opened my eyes wide and said, "That day I went upstairs and had that weird feeling was you guys spying on us?". Genie nodded and said, "I didn't mean to invade your privacy we were just too scared to meet you in person".

     I sighed and shook my head, Genie looked at the time and decided it was best to leave. I let her leave until I realized something. Oh, she's smart, she gave us information about her spying on us just to avoid the conversation about me asking her to move in. I thought about it and headed to bed.

Well my eyes are ruined, I've been staring at this bright screen for a long time, I wrote two chapters the one you just read and the one before that. WOOO that was a lot, imma take a shower.😶‍🌫️
