Chapter 27: The Hills Have Eyes

Friday morning I was getting ready for school when Archie called me. 

"Hey," I greeted. 

"Hey," Archie greeted. "Do you want to go to the movies this weekend? It's been a while since we siblings have just hung out. Jughead and Betty can even join us" 

"That sounds like fun," I said. "I'm in for it."

"Great," Archie answered. "See you later."

"See you later." I then hung up the phone.

(Sweet Pea's POV)

I was at my locker talking to Fangs. 

"I'm hanging out with Toni tonight," Fangs informed me. "We're going to go see Love Simon at the Bijou."

"What am I supposed to do now?" Sweet Pea asked in annoyance. 

"Possibly you can ask Dani to go on another date with you to the movies?" Fangs suggested. I felt my cheeks heat up at her name. "Maybe even ask her a very important question?"

"L-l-like be my girlfriend?" I stuttered. 

"And then you grow a pair and ask her," Fangs added, I turned pale. 

"What if she says no?" I questioned. I would feel like an idiot. "I don't want to risk getting humiliated." 

"Then she's an idiot," Fangs told me. "Even though she is one of my best friends, don't continue wasting your time on her."

"But I really like her," Sweet Pea argued, my eyes went wide since I said it in public where everyone could hear. "Hopefully nobody heard that." Veronica then walked up to us with a box. "What do you want Lodge?" 

"Woah there you're the one that came to me," Veronica reminded me. 

"Came of what?" Fangs asked raising his eyebrows.

"According to Sweet Pea...The princess had been doing a lot for the Serpent, and he wanted to get her something for everything she has done and just a little something he wanted to give her, but he couldn't afford it, so he came to me," Veronica answered as she handed me the box. 

"Sorry for snapping at you," I apologized. "How much do I owe you?" 

"I want a video of her reaction," Veronica demanded. 

"That's all? No debt, no other favors?" I asked in suspicion. 

"Dani is my boyfriend's sister," Veronica pointed out. "Her happiness is a priority to me." Fangs looked in the box and smiled. 

"It's so cute," Fangs gushed. 

"Sweet Pea, for the warning I made plans to go to the movies with her this weekend, but I'm taking him up north this weekend with Jughead and Betty, and we both think this will be a prime time to make a big move," Veronica informed. 

"Andrews and Jones are okay with me asking their sister to be my girlfriend?" I questioned. 

"You are willing to protect her as much as they're willing to protect her, in their books that is a win," Veronica explained.

(Dani's POV)

Toni and I were now talking at my locker. 

"So what are you doing this weekend?" I asked. 

"Fangs and I are going to go see Love Simon at the Bijou," Toni answered. "What about you? Are you and a certain pea finally going to make it official?"
