Chapter 50: American Dreams

A few days later mom called me to help her and Betty start moving out of the Coopers' household. Now Betty and I were holding boxes ready to take everything out. 

"Betty, I thought you were gonna stop this from happening," I stated. 

"I tried but it failed," Betty said. "This is gonna be our last time here."

"How do we say goodbye?" I questioned. "All the sleepovers we've had."

"All the times we would sneak out," Betty smiled. 

"Ok girls it's time to go," Mom said. We both sighed and opened the door. Once we got outside we saw Dad, Jughead, JB, and Gladys. 

"FP?" Mom said. 

"Jug?" Betty said. 

"Dad? Jug?" I said. 

"Dad?" JB said. "What?"

"JB I'll tell you later," I told her. 

"Mrs. Jones," Betty said. "Are you the anonymous buyer?" We then put the boxes in the car and let them in

"What the hell happened here?" Dad asked. 

"Oh, uh..." Mom started as Betty gave her a blank expression. "We had a minor mishap with a candle. Nothing that a fresh coat of paint or a new set of curtains won't fix."

"I am so confused. You sold our house to the Joneses?" Betty asked. 

"Yea Mom you sold it to them," I repeated. 

"Not to me," Jughead and Dad proclaimed. 

"I bought it," Gladys said. "I made an all-cash offer online."

"Mom, we can't move in here," Jughead told her. 

"Why the hell not?" Gladys asked. 

"Well, because it's Betty's house," Jughead said. 

"There's definitely been some sort of misunderstanding," Dad stated. "I think we should all just walk away from this."

"That won't be necessary," Mom smiled. "At least not as far as I'm concerned."

"Mom," Betty and I said. 

"This house is my past, and I just want to be done with it," Mom stated. 

Later, I was sitting by a tree with JB as we talked about anything.

"So Dani can you tell me now?" JB asked. 

"Yeah sure," I smiled. "So you and I are half-sisters. A little after Jug was born your parents were having problems as well as Mrs. Cooper. Our Dad and her found comfort in each other's arms since she was going through the same and then one night they slept together and my mom got pregnant with me."

"Wow," JB said. "That's a lot. Wait, what about the Andrews though."

"Well Archie's mom couldn't have any more kids so my parents gave me up to them so they could somewhat be in my life but they could also hide the truth. I don't even know if your mom knows."

"I feel like I should be mad at my dad for cheating but I'm actually happy you're my older sister," JB said. 

"Me too kid," I smiled and hugged her.

Later on, after Ricky went to bed, Sweet Pea and I were cuddling in bed and just talking. 

"Babe, have you ever thought about our wedding day or kids?" I asked. 

"All the time baby," He kissed my head.
