Chapter 38: As Above, So Below

Three weeks passed, between those three weeks, me and the rest of the gang have hung out a lot more. It was a bit weird at first with Sweet Pea and me, but now it's not. It's just like old times but with more people and all. Now we were about to hang out but I forgot something at my Dad's trailer so as I went inside they waited for me outside the trailer. I looked everywhere, in the kitchen dining table, living room, bathroom, mine, and Jughead's room. Then I just remembered that I haven't checked Dad's room. As soon as I opened the door, I wished I didn't even think of going in there. 

"AHH! EW, EW, EW!" I screamed as I closed the door quickly. I then heard both of them cuss. "I hope you two are happy! I'm blind, you two scarred me for life. I used to see the world in color, now everything is gray." I then walked out and slammed the door. 

"Woah, what happened in there that made you get into a pissy mood," Sweet Pea asked. 

"I was looked for my thing in there," I began. "I searched everywhere and it was nowhere to be found then I thought let me look in Dad's room and..." We all heard the door open and we turned to see Mom and Dad walk out of the trailer. I turned my back to them and put my face into Sweet Pea's chest.

"Oh my god," Toni gasped. "She walked in on you. Babe, you walked in on them didn't you?" 

"One of the most horrifying things I've ever seen," I moaned as Sweet Pea rubbed my back.

"Dani, we are so sorry," Mom apologized. "We never wanted you to see that." 

"Yeah, obviously," I stated. "Why would I want to see you two reenact how I was made?" I heard a few of them chuckle after I said that and I gave them a glare that shut them up. 

"Sweetheart, I'm so sorry you had to see that," Dad said. "But let me just say I scored here, am I right? I'm glad the Farm let you think of the possibility of us, Alice." I saw Fangs and Sweet Pea high-five him. 

"Hey! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Mom and I both hissed. She hit Dad while I hit Sweet Pea. 

"Ow," Dad sounded. 

"Fuck! Why did that hurt?" Sweet Pea asked as Toni and Fangs laugh. 

"You're lucky I can't get you, Fogarty," I stated as he shut up seeing the glare I was giving him. 

"Dani, we are sorry," Mom said. 

"Can we stop talking about it please?" I whined. "Guys, can we just go, please." 

"Yeah, come on," Sweet Pea said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to his bike. 

"I'm-" Dad started. 

"We," Mom interrupted. 

"We're sorry," I heard Dad as we drove away.

 The next day, I was sitting in a booth with Veronica and Betty. 

"I'm in trouble here, Bee, Dan," Veronica stated as she looked down at the piece of paper in her hand. "I'm up to my eyebrows in bills. Pops is hemorrhaging money."

"Well, how far along is the speakeasy?" Betty asked. "Is it close at least?" I looked at Veronica then back at my sister. "Dan, Vee, what? What is it?" Veronica looked at me and took off her glasses. 

"The speakeasy's ready," Veronica said. 

"It has been for a while now," I added as Betty looked shocked. 

"What? Why haven't you opened it?" Betty questioned. 

"She's been waiting for Archie," I said. We then both looked at her.
