The next day was Christmas, and you and your family celebrated it. You all dwelled on Liana's death for only a couple of moments and Anya and Mrs. Herbert were successful in diverting the children to the topic of Christmas.

Anya promised that she'd take care of the rest of the Liana situation and get back to you on it. 

You all had gone shopping and the kids got whatever they wanted for Christmas, in addition to the gifts Shuri had sent for Aaron, Mara, and Natalie, all the way from Wakanda.

Mrs. Herbert had given all the kids stacks of money and told them to buy whatever they wished for.

After you all were done shopping, you headed back home. To Greenwood Heights. The house was just how you had left it when you had gone to the Wilsons' for BBQ.

You had invited Wanda over for dinner back at the house. She accepted it, and spent time with the kids but then excused herself, saying that she had to leave. 

You didn't pressure her and gave her a quick chaste kiss of goodbye to her cheek when she did the same to you both.

Aaron was seeming to be bonding with the Cloak of Inheritance and he seemed to be over the moon when Anya told him that he could keep it and that it was his 'birthright'.

Bucky has recalled all the events of Natalie's powers, especially the one where she had attacked him ruthlessly and hit him hard enough to leave a bruise when he denied giving any cookies.

"Beating up supersoldiers at such a young age!" you feigned a gasp at Natalie, "'M so proud of you, baby!" you hugged Natalie against you.

Bucky deadpanned at you and rolled his eyes, thoroughly unimpressed.

"Dada, snitch," Natalie giggled at her father.

His jaw dropped in offense and he let out a scoff of incredulity. You were full-on laughing at both of them.

Soon enough, it was bedtime and you and Bucky were tucking the kids back to bed. Natalie had insisted that she didn't want to be alone in her room and wanted to sleep with either Mara or Aaron.

"Kids, your Mom and I are very proud of you," Bucky said when he had tucked Mara and Aaron to bed.

 You nodded along with him in agreement, "You know," you pressed a kiss to Mara's head, "A family is forever," you moved to tuck Aaron and switched places with Bucky, "We could never truly leave each other, even if we tried,"

After you had put Natalie to sleep, you and Bucky were in the living room. Mrs. Herbert had advised you to change the dressing of the wound on your hip from where Liana had stabbed you.
