Natalie walked over to Bucky who was in your bedroom, "Hi Dada," she sloppily pushed the hair out of her face.

"Hey sweetpea," he beamed at his daughter, setting down the coat he had shrugged off.

"Can u keep a secret?"

"A secret?" he repeated with a confused expression, settling on the bed with his back against the headboard.

"Yeah, Up—please," she made grabby hands towards him, "No wait—"

She used her power to teleport next to Bucky by the bed and landed next to him with an "oomph!"

"So," Bucky scooped her into his arms, settling her on his abs, "What's bothering you?"

"Sammy says I shouldn't trust old people," Nat said.

Bucky sighed to himself, "And I'm old," he shook it off, "What is it, honey?"

"I—I get bad dreams," she winced at her admission.

Bucky felt his heart drop, "Like nightmares?"

She nodded, "I'm scared to tell mama about it. She already sad,"

"Aw, it's okay," he cuddled her closer, "But she'll wanna know, don't you think?"

"But what if she gets even more sad?"

"She'll want to know either way. I tell her about my nightmares if I get any," he explained, "It's only fair if you tell her too,"

"Fine," she grumbled.

Bucky and Natalie met up with you by the backyard of the house and Natalie admitted to you that she had nightmares.

"Mama, not your fault," Nat mumbled when you held your head in your hands.

"You don't know, honey," you caressed the side of her face, tucking a strand of her hair.

"Should've listened to Sam,"

You looked over at Bucky for an explanation, who only deadpanned in return.

Mara, Aaron, and Bucky were looking over the kitchen sink, where there was a kitten in white fur.

"You sure she won't be mad?" Mara asked Bucky.

"Guess we'll find out," he winced, "I mean, she can't really get mad with me.

Aaron let out a derisive noise at the back of his throat and Mara smothered a snicker muttering, "Right. Totally,"

"Hey," Bucky frowned over at the two in offense.

The door of the kitchen opened as you strode in with your laptop in hand.

"Where were you three? I've been looking all around the house," you stopped talking when you noticed that Mara, Bucky, and Aaron were standing very close to each other, "Unless you were too busy forming a human wall. What do you have there?" you looked at them over your glasses, setting your laptop on the counter.

But the three didn't move and tried to keep a neutral expression as much as possible.

"Aaron Grant Barnes," you rested your hands on your hips, "What're you hiding behind your back?"

"Nothing," he visibly cringed, not being able to come up with any excuse.

"Do I have to call you two by your full names too?" you raised your eyebrows at Mara and Bucky, "I don't have the patience for that," you motioned for them to step aside, "Scoot,"

And when they did as told, you noticed a white cat and turned around with a baffled expression, "What the hell—"

"I love you so much," Bucky stated out loud, as though he was reminding her.

You raised your brows at him in disapproval, "Where did you find this cat?"

"On my way back from the store," Bucky answered quietly, "There was a shelter,"

"He was alone. Crying," Natalie walked into the kitchen, walked over to Bucky, and looked up at you as she hugged her father's legs.

You scrunched your brows in thought, "I mean, Hefner told me that I could get an emotional support animal,"

"So, can we keep him?" Aaron asked in excitement.

"Her," Mara corrected.

"How'd you know that?"

"I checked,"

Aaron wrinkled his nose in disgust.

Mara gathered the cat in her hands, hid her face into its body, and held a paw up, using it to wave at you, "Hi, my name is Alpine," she motioned as though the cat was talking to you, "Please, can I stay you, nice people? Aaron will clean up my mess,"

"The hell I will," Aaron snapped his head to her.

"Watch your mouth," Bucky warned him, "You're gonna take turns," he pointed from one kid to another.

"And you too," Mara and Aaron chorused. Bucky's jaw dropped open.

"Well—" you broke off, sighing, "Alright. We can keep her," you rolled your eyes when Bucky and your children broke into cheers and immediately called dibs to name the cat.
