Bucky woke up to the feel of a soft blanket on his form as he pushed himself up on his hands and looked around. Sunlight entered through the large glass windows on one side of the room, the greenery of the estate outside was a warm sight to the eyes.

Mara was on the armchair, holding a bowl of cereal and milk on her lap as she scrolled through her phone. 

Aaron walked into view with a cup of coffee. He sat down beside Bucky, handing him the cup, "I thought it would be best to let you sleep for—" he spared a look at the clock on the wall in front of him, "20 hours," he winced, "How're you feeling?"

Bucky grimaced sheepishly, sighing deeply in satisfaction, "Much better," he accepted the cup from him and brought him in a quick side hug.

"Where's Nat, by the way?" Mara folded one leg under her lap, negligibly turning to face him.

"Shuri's taking care of her,"

"Shuri's babysitting?" Aaron's eyebrows shot to his hairline in surprise, "That's new to me,"

"You know, I really didn't expect you'd actually take care of Nat," Bucky spoke, "So, thank you for doing it,"

He was walking alongside Shuri as Natalie held onto his mental finger and walked between the two adults.

"Yes, I know, you're welcome," Shuri nodded at him, "But this is a one-time thing only, okay?"

"Oh,"

"I'm kidding, old man," she flapped a hand at him in a joking manner, "I loved spending time with Nat. She was an absolute sweetheart,"

Shuri led Bucky and Nat further down the hallways that would lead them to her lab, "Natalie has a variety of powers that are incredibly rare. I have never seen anything like this before," she told in awe, "This little one has many powers that are totally unrelated to each other,"

"Many?" Natalie repeated the word, head tipping to the side in curiosity.

"Oh yeah, you have many powers," Shuri bent to her level to caress her cheeks lovingly, "Yes, you do! Who's so special? You're so special!"

Natalie giggled heartily while Bucky watched the two interact in growing amusement.

Once the three had entered the lab, Shuri took hold of Natalie and led her away from Bucky, "Jumping through space and time—Teleportation," she began to explain, "Superstrength, Empathy manipulation, Energy blasts. This is all my techs could deduce so far," Shuri completed, "There could be more as she grows up," she added, "Like how Y/N showed the development of her powers of weather manipulation in her HYDRA reports,"
