The drive to Sam's place was long and tiring, but you had made it by sundown, mainly because you had had Aaron summon a portal to the highway to Louisiana from the front of your house in Greenwood Heights.

Bucky usually offers to drive your car, but today he seemed extra fidgety so you decided to drive instead while he sat on the passenger seat.

After you had reached Wilson's place, you all got out of the car. You carried Natalie out of the car seat and set her on the ground as Aaron and Mara stepped out through the other door.

"Wow, it's cold," you shivered a bit, hugging yourself as you pocketed your car keys and your other hand held one of Natalie's tiny ones.

"Have my jacket," Bucky offered like he always does.

"Thanks, Buck," you gave him a nose-scrunched smile.

The supersoldier's eyes widened when he realized the ring box was in the pocket of his jacket and he mentally cursed himself.

"Um," Bucky looped his arm with yours, "Alright, let's go," he tried to guide you towards the entrance of the house.

But then you stopped, facing him, "I thought you were giving me the jacket," you raised a brow at him.

"Yes, but then I realized I would be cold if I give you my jacket," he replied, chuckling nervously,  "And I don't want to be cold,"

Mara face palmed, dragging her hand down her face slowly.

"You should've known you would need a jacket since the house is right next to the sea," he scoffed, tugging his jacket closer to his body, "You should've got your own jacket,"

"I can't see this," Aaron shut his eyes, shaking his head in denial, "This is so bad. See, it's times like this I wish I had fake eyes like Thor, you know,"

"I know right!" Mara nodded along with him understandingly.

Both of them were witnessing the scene, standing not too far away from you.

You blinked at Bucky, unable to speak, "Okay, then,"

Thankfully for Bucky, Sarah had stepped out of her porch to greet you with a pleased cheer of your name, and your attention was diverted to her immediately.

Aaron hurried over to a very embarrassed Bucky, who was grimacing at your back, "What was that?!" he tugged his sleeve sharply to get his attention.

"I don't know!" Bucky whisper-shouted back at him.

"Is Auntie Anya here?" Mara looked around when Sam walked out with AJ and Cass.

"Why don't you come hug her and find out?" Anya smirked as she walked into view and Aaron hurried over to her in an instant, hugging her middle.

The sorceress's heart warmed at the gesture and she moved to embrace you in greeting, "See Sam?" she addressed the man after he had pulled back from welcoming Bucky, "I'm their favorite," she picked up Natalie from the ground and bounced the toddler in her arms, gloating in pride.
