"I remember I had to do something important. I'll go ahead," Toge said, turned his back on me, and started walking away.

He can speak normally now. Oh God, I was gone for a very long time, and he did change.

"Toge," I called him.

He stopped walking, but he never looked back at me.

I began to make my way in his direction, but he continued to walk away before I could even reach him.

"I think it would be better if you leave Toge alone for now," Yuuta said, tapping my shoulder.

I felt embarrassed of myself. I am like a lost puppy trying to fit in here.

"Yuuta! Go back to training!" Panda exclaimed from the other side of the room.

"Wanna join us?" Yuuta asked.

"Tsk," I heard Maki made a clicking noise, expressing her disapproval.

"Uh, it's okay. I can train by myself. Besides, I still need to arrange my things in my room," I said, slightly humiliated because of everyone's reaction.

"I'll go ahead," I whispered and exited the room.

As soon as I was out, I heard them arguing.

"Maki! Panda! What was that? Y/N is still our friend!" Yuuta muttered.

"You don't understand, Yuuta. She left us!" Panda insisted.

So they are really mad at me. I thought they would understand my situation.

"What happened to 'Everyone in Jujutsu Tech is family no matter what?'" Yuuta cried out.

Yuuta, thank you. I really appreciate it, but it's okay. You don't have to defend me. I don't want you to get on bad terms with everyone.

I sighed as I continued walking.

What an excellent way to welcome me, huh.

I wonder if where Toge is? I wanted to talk to him and hug him so bad.

God, I feel like crying. I started to walk faster, and as soon as I turned around the corner, I sat on the floor and covered my face. My tears flow continuously.

Aren't they happy that I'm back? That I finally remembered them? I didn't even wish to forget them in the first place! This is so unfair!

I continued sitting and crying there for God knows how long.

"Y/N, I'm sorry for everything," someone from the other side of the corridor suddenly said.

I looked up and saw Toge. His expression screams pain. That's it? Sorry? Won't he explain anything?

I stood up and faced him properly.

"Why?" I tried asking him.

Instead of answering me, he smiled, but the pain is evident in his eyes.

"Welcome back," he said and left me all alone again.

This time, I didn't try to stop him. That's too much for today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

But I was wrong.

Days passed, and the situation worsened.

Everyone is avoiding me. Well, except for the first-years who don't have any clues on what is going on and Yuuta, who's still trying to do everything just to put the pieces back to their place.

"Toge, I bought some onigiri at the convenience store for you," I said, feeling a little bit shy as I try to strike a conversation with him.

"Thanks," he responded, still looking in the other direction.

"I— Uhm... I'll leave it here," I whispered.

Damn. It feels like he's rejecting my presence.

I placed the food beside him and walked away after that.

"Y/N-senpai!" Kugisaki called me.

"Hey, what's up?" I said, trying to make my tone cheerful.

"Have you eaten lunch already?" She asked.

"Not yet. I overlooked the time, and no one called me," I confessed awkwardly.

"You shouldn't skip any meals, Y/N-senpai! It's bad for the health," I heard Itadori's voice from my back.

"Yeah. I'll set a reminder for next time."

That's right, Y/N. Set a reminder for yourself since no one else cared for you now.

"Perfect timing. We were about to eat our lunch. You can join us, Y/N-senpai," Fushiguro commented.

"Thank you to the three of you, really."
