It had been a week since Kelly and I last exchanged words in the corridor, not that I was counting.

I'd come to the conclusion that all Men are stupid. They continually let you down. And what for? They need us more than we need them.

Kelly and I were no longer friends. His outburst just came from no where. What the hell was his problem?

I snapped out my thoughts and looked around the table.

It was a Friday night, and Inwas at Molly's. Myself, Kim, Jay, Ethan, April, Gabby and Matt were all crammed into one booth.

"What about you Len?" Gabby asked.

"Sorry, I zoned out for a minute."
Definitely wasn't dwelling on my argument with Kelly.

"We're on our about our craziest calls."

I laughed. " You will not believe this. Honestly, I'm not going to be able to tell you without laughing. Mine is too stupid to be true. I often wonder if I'd dreamt it, but I have the report somewhere at home."

"Okay so, it was my first year as a paramedic, and I was working in one of the grottiest boroughs in London, and we had this call about a woman, who had been attacked, so we put our game faces on, and the amount of calls we 'd had about women being attacked within the past month, we were expecting a real gruesome scene."

I start laughing a little before continuing. Keep it together Len, hearing them laugh will be worth it.

"We arrive on scene, to see a woman, wrestling with a fox. No joke."

I burst out laughing.
"She..." I laughed again. "She managed to wrestle it into a pot."

"We took her to hospital for cuts and bites, and she needed a rabies injection."

They were all laughing.

"No, the best part was when she was in the back of the ambo with me, and said 'I've never had to wrestle a fox before'. I'm never going to forget that one."

Jay smiled at me and shook his head. "Beats me and chasing a naked crackhead down the street."

"Ooooh, I remember that one. Was not a pretty sight." Kim added.

"We had a few regular naked crackheads in London."

I could see everyone had nearly finished their drink, so I downed mine.
"Next round is on me." I announced before heading back to the bar.

Whilst I approached the bar, this girl cut in front of me.

I rolled my eyes and decided to rise above it.

Once she'd spent ten minutes instructing Herrmann on how to make the perfect mojito, I finally got the place my order.

"Who was that chick? She seemed rude, pushed in front of me and bosses you around."

"Tell me about it. I'm glad you noticed though. Felt like throwing that stupid concoction straight at her perfect hair." Herrmann said and pulled a face.

"Who is she?"

Herrmann shrugged and I looked over in her direction, and noticed she was sat with a group of men.

"Hopefully doesn't become a regular. Anyway, I'm buying, and everyone will just have the same again." I told him and laid some notes on the bar for him.

"I'll bring em over Len" Herman said and I smiled, thanking him before I turned around and hit straight into a solid chest. The force I hit into the person caused me to lose my balance but two hands quickly grabbed my hips and steadied me, and I held onto their arms.
