I'd promised Len I'd find Amelia, but not just for her sake, but for everyone else at fifty one who had taken a shine to her.
I didn't usually like children, but Amelia she was pretty damn adorable. She had an accent, like her mums.

"Let's get digging, Amelia is down there some where." I say to Matt who looks shocked, and then we begin to move the rubble, piece by piece, until there is a hole we could fit down.
I shrug off my turnout jacket, and slowly lower myself down.
"Looks like we'll have to crawl, it's tight so we'll have to come out backwards." Matt says and I nod.

"Lead the way." Matt says and I slowly begin to crawl over the rubble.

"There might be another little girl, Len said something about Kim's niece that she saw Amelia was with, Sarah." I say to Matt.

"Do you reckon this was intentional?" Matt asks as we continue to crawl.

"Well it wasn't s gas leak, it looks like Oklahoma City." I mutter.
Our radios crackle, and we hear the chiefs voice.

"Any sign of Amelia or anyone?" The chief asks.

"Not yet Chief, we think they must be deeper down." Matt says.

We keep crawling, and then Matt spots a hand.

Matt and I crawl over and start to lift rubble off the body. It's a small girl, not Amelia, and I look at matt.
"Maybe it's Sarah, if so, that means Amelia is close by."

"Chief, we've got a little girl, we think it's Sarah, Kim Burgess' niece."

"I'll look for Amelia, she's gotta be close by." I say to Matt.

I crawl a little further, and I notice someone, so I quickly crawl towards them.

"Amelia.." I say, as I notice it's her.

Her eye open slowly, and she coughs a little.

"Kelly? Where am I? Where's my mum? I want my mum.." she whispers.

"Hey, hey it's ok. I'm gonna get you ok?"

"Where's Sarah?" She asks.

"She's over there, Matt is with her. We're gonna get you out."

"Where's my mum? Is she okay?" I nod my head.

"She's outside, helping people who are hurt." I tell her.

"Sarah is on her way up, then the  basket will come back down, and we'll have you out in no time Amelia." Matt says as he crawls towards us.

Carefully, we start to lift the rubble off Amelia, and Matt grabs the basket, pulling it nearer.
Matt passes me a c collar.

Carefully, and slowly, i place the c collar around Amelia's neck, before I lift Amelia into the basket.
Matt straps her in, and tugs the rope, and slowly the basket starts to get pulled along the rubble.

I sigh, relieved we found the pair of them.

Matt crawls up first, following the basket, and I'm behind matt.
They lift Amelia out, and as I'm climbing out, Len is running towards us.

"Amelia." She says and crouches beside her.

"Is Sarah ok?"

Len smiles, and strokes Amelia's cheek.
"She's over there darling. I'm so sorry, you're gonna be ok, you have to be.."

"Len, we're gonna move Amelia to triage." The chief says, and I watch as Len gets up, making her way to me and matt.

"Thank you, for finding her." Len says to me and matt, she smiles,  before turning away.
Matt and I both grab a side of the basket Amelia is lying in and help to carry it to triage.
