i walked back and fourth inside a local cafe i worked at.

i'm choi areum, a 18 year old young barista working at a local cafe nearby my apartment.

i saw a customer approaching me at the counter where i was.

"hi welcome! what would u like to order?" i said with a delightful tone.

"i'll have the cheesecake and a latte, please." the young boy said.

"your order will be coming up! please take your seat and patiently wait for your order."

he flashed a smile at me and went to find a place for himself.

my heart fluttered and butterflies in my stomach. that smile was probably my serotonin boost for the day. and plus, he was good looking as well.

a smile shined on my face. i began to prepare his order as soon as possible, i didn't want him to wait long for his food to arrive.

i placed his order on a rectangular tray. carefully holding onto it while making my way towards his direction.

i placed down the tray on his table, took the food out of the tray and placed it onto his table.

"you seem kindhearted and cute. what's your name?" he spoke in a soft voice.

"oh thank you" i said while a pink flush was shown on my face. "my name is choi areum, how about yours?"

i said in a slightly faster tone as i didn't want the conversation to last long. i mean i wished it could but i have many other customers to serve and it's impossible for me to keep them waiting.

"park jongseong, call me jay tho"
"nice name, i really like it.."
"your name sounds angelic, but i think you should get back to work now.."

i nodded my head as i carried the empty tray back to the rack.

as i was working at the cashier area, a familiar person came up to me.

"i finished my meal, it was amazing btw. i'm here to pay, how much is it?"

"i'm glad you enjoyed it and your total is... $10"

he took out the amount from his wallet and handed it over to me.

once we finished the transaction, he handed a small note to me before winking at me.

"h-have a good day!" i said while stuttering as i was blushing.

"areum, pull yourself together" i lightly slapped my right cheek as i took the note and shoved it in the pocket of my jeans.

my shift ended. i had just remember about the note that a customer, jay gave me. i took it out of the pocket of my jeans and opened it up.

"xxxxxxxxxx- call me or text me whenever u like"

i started squealing to myself as i was getting a bit too excited about this.

"ya choi areum, what are you squealing at- oh my gosh"

another barista which was indeed my best friend, yuna saw the note and started teasing me.

"ooooo, looks like someone is interested in you~~"

"ya shut up, it's nothing serious.."

"nothing serious my ass, your cheeks and reaction explained it all."

"okay fine... I'M SO EXCITED OMG U DON'T UNDERSTAND"

"one question, was he hot?"

"YES"

"girl, you won at life. fate is on your side"

"indeed, unlike u"

i said those words confidently.

"i will not hesitate to throw you out of that window this instant."

she said pointing towards the window infront of us.

"try me bitch" i said while smiling like a pyscho.
