1:30pm at Evolution Records

Austin and his partner Joy walked inside Evolution Records.

"Hey Austin" Alex said (smile)

"Hey Alex. Is your boss in her office?" he asked

"Yes. Who's your friend?" Alex asked licking her lips at Joy

"This is my NEW partner Joy. Joy, this is Alex"

"Hi"

"Hello" Alex said winking at her

"Could we just go right in?"

"Yeah. Go ahead"

"Thanks"

Austin and Joy walks away. Alex glanced at Joy's ASS.

*Door knock*

"Come on in" Amanda said

Austin and Joy walks in. "Hey Amanda"

"Austin. Its good to see you. Is this your new partner?"

"Yes"

"Hi. Detective Joy Roberts"

"Hello. She's cute"

Joy chuckled, "Thanks"

"Have a seat. Could I offer you two anything? Water? Juice?"

"No thanks. We won't be long. We just want to inform you that one of your former employees Sarah Huett was killed at the docks. I'm sorry"

Amanda feels bad, "Oh God. She's such a good girl too. But she started to change when she hung out with the wrong crowd"

"What kind of crowd she hung around with?" Joy asked

"The opposite of what she was. One time during her lunch break I came back from a meeting at another record label building. I heard moaning in the conference room. Alex were no where to be found"

"I went in and I saw Sarah having SEX with someone in the middle of the conference table. (feels disgusted) It was just horrible"

"Wow. Did you fire her that day?" Austin asked

"Yes. We had it out and that was that. Did you find out who killed those people yet?"

"No. Were still investigating"

"What is going on Austin?"

"I wish I can tell ya"

"Find them. Who ever it was okay? Promise me"

"I promise" he stands up; so did Joy. "Well, we should be going. Its good to see you again Amanda"

Amanda stands up, "Wait um....Austin, could I speak to you alone for a minute?"

"Sure. Joy, it would only take a second"

"Okay. Nice meeting you"

"Likewise hon"

Joy steps out of the office. Alex glanced at her sucking on a blow pop.

"You ask her out yet?"

"What? No. I'm still with Britt"

Amanda looks disappointed, "Oh. For some strange reason I thought you two broke up"

"Why would you think that?" he asked

"I don't know. I just had that GUT feeling. Anyway, Joy looks like she can sing. Ask her"

"Oh no Amanda. She's a cop. Your not gonna do what you did last time I had a partner"

"But I can't help it. I think she can sing"

Joy and Alex just stares at each other. Smiling. Alex teasing Joy by moving the blow pop up and down her tongue.

"Your tongue is RED" Joy stated

"It supposed to be by eating a CHERRY blow pop. Have you had the cherry kind?"

"No. I always like the green apple"

"Those are delicious. But you know what's so special about the cherry one?"

"What?"

"Take a look at this magazine"

Joy glanced at it; then quickly looks away, "Oh my God" (laughs)

"Hahaha. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be inappropriate"

"Do you have any questions?"

Joy takes it, "Thanks"

Joy smiles, "Okay Alex, whatever you say" she walks out

Austin walks out Amanda's office, "Alex, what did you say to my partner?"

"Nothing. I was just making conversation"

"Cause I know you. See you later" he said with a smile walking away

"NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" he walks out the double doors.

Alex smiles, saying to herself, "Oh yes it will"

Austin got in the car. He glance at his partner, "You okay?"

"Yes. I'm good"

"I'm sorry about her. She loves to flirt. I should of have you to stay in the car"

"No its fine. She doesn't bother me" she said smiling

Without hesitation, he gently place his thumb on her cheek, "You sure?"

They look into each other's eyes....Joy leans forward and KISS Austin. He responded the kiss. The BEST kiss that he ever had.

They quickly unlock lips looking away. "I'm....sorry Austin I shouldn't...."

"No. Don't apologize. I kissed you back"

"Let's just go"

He turns on the ignition and drives off.
