The Grand Wizard and Time Manipulator both heard laughter, so they looked towards the sky.

Looking near the top of the pit, the source of the laughter was revealed, but it wasn't just one source as it was several sources responsible for the laughter.

The New Elemental Knights; Aerro, Carbon, Shadow and Maniac were at the top. All of them looking down at the Inquisition below, and all of them beside Aerro, silent as if he was in a library, were laughing.

In that moment they held the high ground over the Inquisition, so they thought themselves to be superior to the two inside the pit.

The Grand Wizard narrowed his eyes, and he remembered that Shadow was killed by the Wolf King back in the Legion of Death War. Because of that, he assumed that Shadow had been revived by someone, or he managed to trick the Wolf King.

Either way... Him being around like this is troublesome...

He then heard the screams of war coming from outside the pit, and as more minotaurs roared the ground shook - sending clouds of dust into the pit.

Queen Ashley and the Minotaur King's purge of the Capital City has been started, and it is now a race against time to ensure that we're out of here before it is too late.

For Shadow, the obvious answer is that he's been brought back to life by our enemies. Who specifically we don't know, but we know that whoever did it isn't on our side.

If it was the Minotaur King, what reason could he have for doing it? The Grandmasters are strong, no question, but I don't see why he would bring them back when he already has the Nameless and minotaurs.

"Who revived you, Shadow?"

Shadow arrogantly smirked.

"Why don't you ask Icarus, Grand Wizard? Better yet, why don't you use that strong mind of yours to figure out how she revived me and the rest of everyone from the battle years ago. You are the self-proclaimed all knowing Inquisitor, right? ...So do your job then. Hahahaha--!!!!"

Revived soldiers from the Legion of Death War?

Ha-- hmmm...

If Icarus is really alive, would she even be capable of bringing soldiers back from the dead? Putting a soul back into a body is no easy task, and you would need tons and tons of magicka to do it. You would need so much magicka that you wouldn't have any left for doing something else. You'd be mostly relegated to sitting down in a chair all day - all the time.

But still... I have a hard time believing that Icarus survived the Lord Inquisitor, who most definitely would've finished her barring any tricks.

Although I wasn't there to see her defeat myself, I don't think the Lord Inquisitor would lie about it.

...So her name being used must be a ruse.

Bigger problem, if what Shadow is saying is true, is the revived soldiers from the Legion of Death War. How many had been revived? There were over two hundred thousand soldiers combined between the Legion of Death and the Grand Army of Orion.

Of course not that many died, but it was still a significant number that did.

If a quarter of soldiers from the war had been revived... we're in trouble. We'll need more than just the combined Inquisition, but beyond just us.

"Not everyone was brought back to life, but it's more than enough to bring about the final days of the Inquisition. You'll see many, many familiar faces, and all of them will be hellbent on killing you. Isn't that wonderful? Hahahaha!!!"
