Not everything was gloomy and destructive in the world at that time.
Somewhere a lot more peaceful, and near the edge of the world, a place existed that was secluded from the world-changing war.
Alpha and Saiya, both of them wearing Dragon alabaster-white formal clothing, were standing at the edge of a cliff. The two of them were close to each other, and it was obvious that the two of them were about to become husband and wife.
Alpha looked down at the beach. He could see his own distant reflection in the clear turquoise water. The white sand belonging to the beach seemed too soft and comforting, he wanted to bury his bare feet with it. Because of that, he looked back at Philta and Orion, and he stared at them.
He narrowed his eyes, non-verbally he was telling them not to follow them, and they listened to him.
He snapped his fingers; both he and Saiya were teleported into the sand with their feet bare. Because of what they were doing prior, they were both looking at water and seeing their reflection. Alpha's heart was palpitating as it was rapidly beating with anxiousness.
He was nervous because he was about to hand over his life and soul to the woman standing beside him, someone he's known for more than a decade and a half now. Despite his status within Sol, it wasn't an easy task. The only thing that gave him some sense of calm was knowing that the woman beside him was Saiya. Someone who offered him advice even when it was cruel, and someone who was brutally honest with him and never cowered away from telling him how she actually felt or what she was thinking. She was someone who guided him even when it was a hassle. She was someone who has always stood beside him proudly and faithfully, even when it was the wrong thing to do. Saiya was so loyal to him that she made it seem like they were always on the same page and thinking the same thing from the perspectives of people around them, and many called her the female version of Alpha.
Saiya was and still is the right person for Alpha. Never will he ever be able to replace her with someone else.
From the beginning, when they first met, Longinus consistently put both of them on the trajectory of being together, and he constantly reinforced it. He knew they would be a perfect pair when it came to acting as the Domination Covenant, when it came to being partners in life, and death if it ever came to that. He also knew that Saiya was the only one who could keep Alpha standing when things were fine or when everything was crumbling around him. She was the perfect being for him, and everyone knew it.
Alpha turned to Saiya.
"How should I do it?"
Saiya, staring at her reflection, calmly responded as if their bounding wasn't a big deal.
"You're not supposed to ask me."
He blushed and turned away.
"S-sorry... Nerves got to me, ...and it's hard trying to act decisively when I'm having to make such a life altering decision with you..."
"How is it life altering?"
His arms folded.
"How is it not? By going through with this, I'll be giving you everything I have and will ever have. I've never done that for anyone before, and if it wasn't for you, I never would've thought that I'd ever reach this point.
She shook her head.
"You're wrong."
"Huh?"
"You've already given me everything. A formal proposition I would accept without hesitation would change nothing between us. The two of us are bounded together for all of eternity already, and neither one of us are able to live without the other."
