Before the dungeon attack.
The Time Manipulator, standing still in the main hallway, was silent.
After she had finished organizing the New Dawn, she searched for Violet, Merelona, Eris and Elaine as desired by the Grand Wizard. However, she couldn't find any of them. She couldn't find any traces of them either.
She really wished she was able to see into the future at that time. Not only would it have saved her the trouble of searching the entire palace, but it would have given her an idea of what the future was to be.
Knowing the future ahead of you for years and then suddenly losing it was scary for the Time Manipulator, and it made her constantly worry as the good future was no longer guaranteed.
Mmm...
She was actively trying to avoid contact with anyone inside the Royal palace, and she was having to do so as she walked through the halls of the palace that were typically occupied.
But when she finally reached the doors before the Hall of Inquisitors, she couldn't help but stop.
I wonder who ended up fighting each other.
Couldn't have been Alexon or Vohom. I doubt they would've been caught by the Knight Order.
She saw leftovers from a battle that had taken place a while ago. If she was able to see into the future, she would've seen for herself who the participants actually were, but since she couldn't manipulate time she was left wondering.
Honestly... I'm a defective Inquisitor at the moment. My title is Time Manipulator, yet I'm unable to see into the future. I'm unable to manipulate time to the advantage of the Inquisition. I'm unable to stop us from charging into any impending disaster.
It's my fault if we walk into a trap since I'm not able to see the future and be a reliable source of information like I once was. Hopefully whatever is stopping me disappears soon enough, so I can do my part to save the Inquisition.
That's a shame.
She then walked away from the scene, and went over to the closed door belonging to Captain-General Cassius' office.
Standing in front of the door, she pictured being screamed at by Captain-General Cassius for intruding on his business, followed by being thrown out.
She sighed.
Here we go...
She knocked on the door twice.
Knock, knock... Open up...
She waited in front of the door for a straight minute, ...and no one answered.
Did he hear me?
She knocked again.
...And again, she did not get a response.
Hmm... This is odd.
She again sighed.
Seeing the future would be reaaaaaaaaally useful right now.
But alas... Here I am without a vision of the future.
Left in the sea of unknowns.
She cracked the door open just enough so she could peak inside, and she saw an occupied chair with its back turned towards her.
"Captain Cassius."
No answer.
He must be sleeping.
