// "Life After You" - Daughtry //
Once we were all done saying our goodbyes, we packed up the van and the other car we had with as much as we could afford to carry. Tyreese and Beth's death took a toll on us all, so no one really spoke for a great while. I just finished packing up the back of the van and slammed the doors shut. I went to go and climb in the van but I heard a whistle and turned my attention to Daryl leaning against the side of the other truck with his arms crossed. I walked over and stood next to him. He seemed uneasy about something, but I couldn't tell what.
"Why don't Ya ride with me." He asked I shrugged my shoulders.
"Figured Carol, Noah, Abraham and Rosita were tagging along."
"We can switch some things up." He said shifting his weight to the other foot.
"It's fine." I began to walk back to the van until I heard him call out behind me.
"Y/N!" I turned around and saw him approach me.
"Are we, okay?" He asked just above a whisper, like he was afraid to ask. I just nodded slightly and looked into his lost, blue eyes. He looked scared, like he had no one to hold, no one to cling to. I would always be there for him, but I don't know what happened, I just... Wasn't feeling it anymore. He would always be family to me, but I guess I just lost the momentum.
// Daryl's POV //
All I wanted was her in my arms. I know what I said really hit her hard, but we got past that. Something was bothering her and I didn't know what. My heart hurt knowing she felt awkward around me, like she couldn't be herself. I went to peck her on the cheek but she stepped back and looked as though I stepped over the boundaries beyond belief. I felt my whole being break. Did she not love me like I loved Her? Did I fuck up that badly?
"Y/N, are we..."
"I don't wanna talk about it, okay?" She said, practically blowing me off. I stood there like a lost child as she walked back towards the van and climbed back in. I was brought back to reality by Carol calling me to the truck. I adjusted my crossbow on my shoulder and headed to the truck.

We were on the road for about an hour now, and although my eyes were fixed on the road, my mind wouldn't stop thinking about Y/N.
"Daryl, you okay?" Carol asked. She said in the passenger seat while I drove. The others sat in the bed of the truck, leaving Carol and I for a personal discussion.
"Mhm." I grumbled beneath my breath. She didn't buy it one bit.
"Okay, what's going on."
"What?"
"Y/N is acting... Strange. She doesn't seem like herself."
I sighed and accepted the fact that I needed advice... And bad.
"I don't think she loves me anymore."
"Stop talkin crazy."
"You haven't noticed?" She stayed silent, I then knew I got my answer.
"Daryl she will never stop loving you. The girl just lost her sister and is going through a lot. Give her time, she'll come around." She finished. I took her words into consideration and remained silent the rest of the trip.

"What should we do? Rick said as we stood in a circle outside of the van. We had run out of gas and we're stuck in the middle of nowhere.
I looked over to Y/N and saw her stare off into the distance. Like she wasn't even here. She had a blank expression on her face and didn't even move, let alone speak.
