"No"

"Daryl, you're not gonna stop me."

"Like hell I won't! I just got you back, I ain't letting you go out on a run, not now." Daryl said bowing his head. I tilted his chin up so he was looking at me.

"Can't keep me here forever. Pete said my back was basically healed, so, I'm going. I'm tired of being cooped up here." Daryl nodded it off and walked away to blow off some steam. I shook my head at his attitude and went back to loading up the van for our run into town. Glenn, Tara, Noah, Eugene, Aiden, Nicholas and I are making a run to the storage units to see something about these panel-things that Eugene needs.

"Ready Y/N?" Glenn asked me. I nodded and followed the others to the back of the van. Just before I got in Maggie pulled me away from them and gave me a hug goodbye.

"Be safe out there." She said pulling away.

"Always am." With that, we all loaded into the back and drove off. All of a sudden Aiden started playing is mixtape and then dubstep came on the disc. We all looked at each other and started laughing.

"Noah," Glenn alerted him as a walker was heading our way. It was pretty far away, but Noah took it out easily.

"Nice shot kid." Aiden said to Noah as he passed him.

Surprisingly, there were little to no walkers in sight. I looked around to try and find even one, but none were to be seen.

We all made our way into the building with our flashlights at the ready. It was pitch black, I kept bumping into boxes and shelves, causing the whole place to bounce of the noise I was creating.

"Sorry!" I whisper-yelled to everyone.

Glenn broke us up into groups and told us to split up to find the panels. It was Aiden and Nicholas, Tara, Eugene and Noah, and hen Glenn and I.

I skimmed the shelves looking for a box or anything. Something worth finding. I heard Eugene quietly yell that he found them. At least I didn't have to look for them, I don't know how much help I'd be in that aspect.

Somehow, a couple walkers managed to make their way into the building. They shuffled closer until Noah and Glenn took out the majority. On the next row over, Aiden took out two but was left with one with riot gear on. I could see him through the boxes and containers trying to take it out.

"It's got a mask on! You can't!" Glenn yelled over to him, but he wouldn't listen. He eventually caught on but then started to shoot at its chest. One bullet after another bounces off of the protective gear. Aiden aimed his last shot at his chest... Right where two grenades were clipped on to the gear.

"Aiden no!" Glenn and I yelled in unison, but it was too late. Aiden shot he walker right where the grenades were and the walker exploded and sent me, Glenn and the others flying backwards. My back slammed against a shelf and knocked the breath out of me. My head hit the edge of a shelf which threw me over the edge and sent me to the ground. I looked up with hazy eyes to see if everyone was okay, but only saw the faded outlines of bodies all around and some wandering towards the back of the building.

Daryl's POV

They should've been back by now they left three hours ago and it was a little past twelve. It was gonna get dark soon if they didn't hurry up.

Rick noticed my worrying and walked towards me. He was dressed up in his police uniform and the way he carried himself, you could tell that he was adjusting to being a cop again.
