Later That Night...While Treyton, Farah and Novah were getting ready for a chill night, Cicely was across town about to get paid a visit. The person was walking up to her back door while being cautious of their surroundings. The last thing they needed was somebody catching them back over there.
Inside of her home, Cicely was cleaning up her kitchen and straightening her front room getting ready for the next day. Treyton was going to bring Novah over while Farah handled some business, and she couldn't wait to see either of them.
Cicely was just now walking through the threshold of her kitchen while the unknown visitor was watching through her slightly open window. They were contemplating going in or just ending it there. Just then, Cicely's house phone started ringing. She went back into the front room to answer, and the trespasser just opted to pick the lock.
Quietly, they took out a tool and slowly stuck it into the keyhole. If she so much as heard, they would have to bolt. But, being that she was on the phone with her granddaughter, she wasn't being as cautious as she normally would be.
By the time she said her goodbyes, the person was already inside. The person saw her coming back in so they hid inside of the pantry closet. Cicely felt another presence while washing her dishes, but she shook it off thinking that it could be her paranoia from the first incident. Only if she'd just been a bit more cautious.
After getting all of her dishes done and outing all of the lights, she made her way out of the kitchen, into the family room where she outed the lights in there, and slowly but surely up the stairs. She had already taken care of her hygiene for the night, so she decided to go ahead and call it a night.
She wrapped up her freshly pressed hair, changed into her nightgown, and said her a quick prayer. That's one thing she never forgot to do; thank God for allowing her to see another day and night, and pray that her and her family would get to see the next ones as well.
After praying, she cut her TV on to Family Feud, and she got into bed. If only she did her nightly routine check.
Hearing the TV playing, the intruder knew that was their chance. They had been watching the elderly lady for some nights now, and she had the same routine each night. Only this time, she wasn't as on point.
Slowly walking up the carpet covered stairs, the unknown person made sure to keep quiet. This obviously wasn't their first time in this type of situation, but there's a possibility it could be the last.
Reaching the top of the stairs, the person stopped abruptly. They noticed Cicely didn't have her room door closed, and that made the job a little harder.
While this random person was thinking of ways to get into the room without being noticed right away, Cicely had already drifted into a deep slumber. She didn't know the danger she was in.
Taking a few more steps, the person pulled out a ski mask and put it on while getting closer to the room's entrance. When they got in front of the door, the lady came into view. She looked so peaceful! But, they didn't care.
Quietly, the person crept up on the side of her bed where she was sleeping and just stood there. They watched her breathing in and out and it angered them.
Just then, Cicely was awoken by a hard smack to the face and punches instantly followed. She was immediately sent into shock so protecting herself wasn't the first thing that came to mind. Not that she could have done anything, though.
When the attacker finally decided to stop five minutes later, Cicely was already a bloody and swollen mess. Her face was covered in so much blood that one wouldn't be able to tell exactly where it was coming from.
She was gasping for air, but the intruder didn't care. Just as quick as they stopped, a gun was drawn from their pants. Raising it up the old woman's head, they stopped. Instead of just killing her, they wanted a message to be sent out. There's no doubt that Treyton would immediately think of them, being that they're the only one left.
Moving the gun down, the person fired off two shots; one to the leg and one to the hip. With a silencer being on, nobody could hear it. And Cicely couldn't make a sound because of the pain and shock she was going through. She just laid there gasping for her lost breath and trying to process everything. Her own clothing and bed set were quickly becoming soaked in her blood, and she was so lost and scared. The last thing on her mind was her family.
By the time she came out of her shocked state, the intruder had already fled. And she was left there for dead.
Outside, the unknow person was leaving just how they came in. When they got a good distance away from the house, they hopped back into their truck and pulled off. While driving away, they frequently checked the rearview mirror for anyone that could possibly be following them.
When the coast was clear, the person pulled off their mask to reveal a man with a sinister smirk. But, he wasn't just any man. No, this was a man that was forgotten. This man was none other than Howie Davis.
