The Next Day...

Today was a little hectic so far. Novah woke up with a fever for starters, and she wanted to be held and cuddled by both of her parents. That resulted in them having to call out of work. Then, Farah had been getting random messages and phone calls from people claiming to be her family.

Farah and her family were once really close, but that all came to an end when they found out Farah got with her older sisters' "crush." That's just a story for another day.

The calls started at 10:00 the night before, and they didn't stop until 12:00 P.M. Treyton told her not to worry too much about it, but it's really hard when you miss someone so much. Even though they disowned her, or at least that's what her sister made her believe, she couldn't fake her feelings.

Now, her family has fallen apart because of her absence and her sister is miserable and desperate for attention. She's been trying to get in contact with Farah before anyone else could so she'll look like the hero who brought the family back together.

Right now, Farah and Treyton were leaving the doctors office with Novah. Her fever had went up to 103°. She was prescribed some medicine that should help, and she was put on bed rest for the rest of the day.

While walking out the entrance, lo and behold Fatinah. She had came all the way from California just to get to Farah. Weird, right?

Fatinah stopped abruptly in front of the family. She recognized Farah instantly because Farah had the looks she always wanted. She was jealous growing up, and it was all coming back now. But, that's another story for another day.

Farah looked at her sister with disgust and hatred in her eyes. This was the one person who could make her sweat, and not in an intimidated way. It was more so of a way to say "I'll really beat your ass, hoe."

"Hey, little sister. How you been?"

For once, Farah couldn't even think of anything to do nor say. For once, she was stuck. And she hated to feel stuck because it made her feel helpless. And once she felt helpless, she shut down completely and no one could get through to her.

It was a good thing Trey had Novah because Farah started to hyperventilate. She was shaking and her eyes were slowly turning red. She was upset.

"Nah. Let's go, Farah. Deadass."

"Don't be like that, Trey. Let us talk. It's your fault we aren't talking right now anyways."

"Let's go, Farah. I mean it, man. Ignore her and come on. Baby girl sick."

"Oh! She's gorgeous. Is she yours, sis? She doesn't really look like either of y'all. Did y'all adopt?"

Ignoring her once again, Treyton grabbed Farah by her hand. He started to pull her away, and she followed involuntarily. She was there but her brain wasn't registering anything.

Not giving up, Fatinah followed behind them. She kept talking, and the more she talked the more Farah's mind drifted farther away.

"I just wanted to see you, Farah. Or should I say Bunny? The family misses you!"

Hearing her childhood name, Farah stopped walking. They were in front of the car, so Trey just hurried and got Novah situated. He took longer than he wanted to, and Fatinah took that as her opportunity to "talk" with Farah some more.

"Mom and dad have been worried. You should come home. I don't know why you let him get to you in the first place. He would have been mine and all of this would not have happened. Just get back on a flight with me and we can go."

At the mention of her parents once again, Farah started to breath heavily. Fatinah was talking to her but everything was muffled. She started to see black spots and couldn't focus on anything; it was all turning black.

Treyton noticed her staggering and ran to her side just as she passed out. Fatinah looked on in shock, and ran to hop back in her car before speeding away.
