Im so so so so so so so so so frickin sorry for this chapter. I know I told you it was going to be a bunch of fluff but-
I kept reading a bunch of one-shots about this topic and I had to make one of my own.

I honestly think it's way to short it's only like 800 maybe 900 words but it's kinda hard to write something like this that's supper long-

Mays eyes slowly drooped open and she eyed Coulson. His eyes were still closed and he looked peaceful, but there was something different. His cheeks were flushed, his lips were a little paler than normal, and his breathing was uneven.
May knew... today was their last day...
She took a deep steady breath and inched closer until her body was pressed against his. Her hand fisted his shirt and Coulsons arm found its way under her neck while he slept. Tears glassed over her eyes and she tried so hard to push them back. But she couldn't help it. May closed her eyes and snuggled up against Coulson. She was now sobbing into his shirt.
"Mel?" Coulson's weak voice called. "Hey... don't cry..." May swallowed hard and looked up at him. She kissed his jaw and then his lips.
When May didn't answer Coulson shook his head and he closed his eyes while he took a deep shaky breath.
"Shhh. It's- Its gonna.... Be... ok...." May shook her head and hugged him tighter while she tried desperately to stop her crying. She needed to be strong for him. Coulson rubbed his hand up and down her back for a moment but then he had to stop, gravity weighed it down more than normal.
Coulson knew... today was their last day...
May sat up and cupped Coulsons cheek. Coulson moved his other hand and placed it on top of hers.
"I love you Mel." May grinned through tears and nodded.
"I love you too." She kissed the bridge of his nose and then her thumb gently creased his cheek. Mays other hand grabbed his free hand and held it tightly. He brought it down and kissed the back of her hand.
"You have to promise me that you'll be strong when I'm gone..." Coulson said. He allowed a tear to run down his cheek and May caught it with her thumb and wiped it away.
"I promise." She breathed. He winced slightly at the ache that came from his chest. May noticed this and more tears ran down her face. "Rest. Ok you- you don't have to talk..." Coulson nodded his head and his breathing hitched a little.
"I'm scared Melinda..." May bent down again and kissed his lips.
"Shhh, it's ok, don't be scared... I'm right here..." she sniffled and more tears escaped Coulsons eyes. "Just imagine all of the people who are gonna be there with you... Trip, Lincoln, Rosl-"
"Momma?" Coulson asked and May nodded.
"Yeah, she'll be there too and she'll love you and kiss you and give you hugs." Coulson grinned a little and that made May a little less sad.
"You'll be ok?" May swallowed.
"Soon, it'll take some time but I'll be ok soon..."
"Will you find someone else to love you and kiss you and give you hugs?" May sniffled and chuckled a little while she shook her head no.
"No, I cant... that's forever your job."
"But what about... when I'm not here?"
"I guess ill just have to wait to come to you then..." Coulson nodded and held her hand a little tighter.
"If you ever need me I'll always be right beside you... you understand me? Just close your eyes and I'm right there." May nodded. She couldn't respond. She couldn't see properly, her eyes were covered by a curtain of tears which burred her vision. Coulson released another shaky breath, this one was shorter and caused him more pain.
"Phil?" May asked. Coulsons eyes opened and he looked up at her.
"Yes..."
"I love you so much..." she sobbed. "Please dont leave me..." Coulson grinned and put a shaky hand to her cheek.
"I love you too...I'm right here... I'll always be right here my angel..." and with that Coulsons eyes slowly blinked closed and his hand fell from her cheek. His breathing came to a halt along with his heart.May sobbed harder and harder while she wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his chest. She snuggled, if possible, even closer to him.
"I love you... I love you I love you I love you...." She mumbled.

Two weeks later May and Daisy stood in front of Coulsons grave. Silent tears fell down Mays face while Daisy openly sobbed onto Mays shoulder. Everyone else had already left after paying their respects which left May and Daisy alone.
"He didn't deserve this..." Daisy mumbled.
"I know..." May whispered. "But he's not suffering anymore... and he's never really gone until the memory of him fades." Daisy shook her head in the crook of Mays neck.
"I miss him!" Daisy sobbed even harder. May put a hand on the back of Daisy's head and rubbed circles on the girls back.
May closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep shaky breath.
I need you.... She thought to herself. And just for a very moment May could've swore she felt a chill go down her spine and heard someone whisper.
"I'm right here my angel."
