Mays hand ached as she felt her hand sign the clipboard for what felt like the hundredth time.

"Alright I believe that was the last one, thank you Agent May..." Simmons said with a smile.

"Of course." May muttered handing her back the clipboard. "Mind telling me what I'm signing exactly?"

"Uh Coulson is doing inventory pick up today and piper asked to go with him.. I thought he told you." Mays eyebrows came up.

"He's back?" Simmons nodded slightly.

"Yeah, uh, for at least an hour now." May scoffed and began to walk off immediately. "Wait May-" Simmons shouted trying to get her to come back but it was too late, she had already turned the corner.

oOo

May walked up the zefer and straight up the stairs, ignoring Mack's hello and a few other agents glances. She headed straight to his office/bunk and slammed open the door.

  And there he was.

Sitting at his desk. Glasses on reading what looked like a mission report.

He looked up at the sound of his door being slammed open.

"You weren't going to come and tell me you were here?" Coulson sighed and shut the file and placed the glasses on the table.

"Well that's one way to say hello." May rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. She leaned back against the wall and crossed her ankles.

"Still no Daisy huh?" Coulson shook his head.

"She's a ghost, we see her one minute and she's gone the next." May nodded, but she knew there was more. "She shouldn't be going through this alone, she can't just run off and pretend that none of it happened!"

"I'm sorry Phil but sometimes things like this just happen and you just have to sit back and let them..."

"What are you saying?" Coulson asked a little defensively. May shrugged and shoulder.

"I'm saying stop looking, leave her be..." Coulsons eyebrows came together like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Stop looking? You mean give up? Let her go off on the run?! Continue hurting herself?!"

"Look Coulson I hate it too but I-"

"No!" Coulson interrupted. He stood up placing both hands on the table. "You do not get to feel bad!" He yelled. "It's your fault!" Mays sat up straighter and let her arms come to her side.

  "What?"

  "It's your fault!" Coulson repeated.

"How is this my fault?!" May yelled back.

"You trained her!!" Anger replaced Mays confused expression.

  "As an agent!"

"And she looked up to you! And all you ever do is shut out your issues and run away!" Tears threatened mays eyes.

"Coulson... I know you're hurting... but that doesn't mean you can just-..." Mays voice trailed off and she closed her eyes.

  "Just what May?! Just what?!"

"YOU CANT JUST BITCH ABOUT IT!" Coulson was taken back by her outburst. "I have done nothing to her!" Mays voice broke and raw emotion filled her tone. "And I've done nothing to you..."

"Exactly! You've done nothing!!" May scoffed and let a tear fall.

"I don't know what this is, if it's the grief talking, or if you just need someone to be the bad guy but I. will. NOT. TAKE. IT!" May took a moment and searched his eyes for something other than anger. "I support everything that you do! I give you all of me for nothing in return!"
