May walked back and forth in a straight line. Coulson had been in surgery for God knows how long and May couldn't take much more of the waiting.

  "Hey you!" She called to a docter who came out of his operation room. The man turned towards her and gave her a curt nod as she walked towards him. "What's going on in there, I thought it was a simple bullet in the leg..."

  "I assume your Mrs. Coulson?" May scrunched her eyebrows together.

  "Um, no It's May, Melinda May..." the man gave her a confused look and checked the chart in his hands.

  "Umm in here it says Melinda Coulson." May slowly grabbed the chart from his hands and looked down. She recognized the handwriting immediately. It was Coulsons, though it was a little sloppier than normal. She handed the chart back to the doctor and shook her head slightly.

  "Anyway, how is he?" The man hesitated before replying.

  "Uh, he's doing fine. We successfully removed the bullet but there was some concern with his femur, it seemed the bullet had lodged itself into the bone so he is currently on some pretty strong pain killers..." May nodded and waited for him to continue. "Erm, he should be perfectly fine." The man cleared his throat. "ma'am." She took a sigh of relief and nodded her head.

"Good God... can I go see him?" The doctor nodded his head and gestured towards the door. May gave him a curt nod in return before walking towards his room and slowly opening the door. She immediately heard his voice.

"Go get her now!" May opened the door to Coulson sitting up on his bed pointing at the door.

"Sir! We don't know who Mrs.Coulson is!" Apparently no one had seen her walk in.

"Melinda Qiaolian Coulson." Coulson repeated in a sloppy voice. They all froze when they realized who he was talking about and one of the doctors finally noticed her.

"Uh, Director sir." Coulson looked up at the doctor. "I found her." The doctor pointed towards the door and Coulson followed his gaze. A big sappy smile grew on his face and he extended his arms.

"Mellie!" May soffed lightly and signaled the doctors out of his room with her head. They all happily complied and closed the door behind them.

  "Hey Phil." She murmured as she made her way over to his bed.

  "Hiiiiiiiiii." May smiled and gently fixed the covers over him and pushed him back down onto the bed.

  "How are you feeling?"

  "Your so beautiful," Coulson said ignoring her question. May froze for a moment.

  He's high, remember that... she told herself mentally.
