*Louis' POV*

Aurora and Zayn get back and Aurora avoids all eye contact and bolts straight towards her room. I call out after her only to be ignored. I shoot a look at Zayn.

"What happened?" I demand. Zayn looks guilty and disappointed in himself.

"We left the movies and the fans were everywhere. Then she got lost in the crowd so I went to find her and one of our fans slapped her. She ran to the car and now we are back." he explains. I drop my head into my hands. We were just starting to make progress! I sigh heavily and hop up to go see Aurora.

"Lou." Liam's voice stops me. "Give her some time. She'll come around." he says in his responsible, all-knowing voice. I sigh again and sit back down.

I can't calm down enough to sit down so I stand up and twiddle with my fingers. My feet get the better of me and I start pacing. From upstairs, I hear Aurora crying. I feel my heart break.

"I can't do this." I mutter and rush upstairs to Aurora's room. I gently knock on the wooden door. I receive no response, just a few sniffles. I slowly twist the doorknob and poke my head in. My broken little girl is sitting in the corner of the room, scared for her life. I almost break down at the sight of her so hurt. I gather up what's left of my courage and walk over next to her. I kneel down next to her and she cowers away from my presence.

"Aurora...." I urge. She pays no mind to me. "Aurora..." I repeat. "You need to listen to me, love. I know that someone slapped you and I am terribly sorry for that." I start.

I pause to take a breath. The guilt was eating me alive. If I wasn't famous, Aurora wouldn't have gotten slapped. It's my fault. I sigh and continue.

"But, I am not that person. Don't lock down from me because of something someone else did. I know how hard it is for you to trust someone. I completely understand. I would be the same way. But, just hear me out. I love you with all of my heart and I can't stand to see my baby girl broken." I say. She looks down and breaks out into tears. I carefully place my arm around her shoulders, trying to comfort her. She surprises me by snuggling into my shirt. I wrap my arms around her and pull her onto my lap, letting her cry her little heart out. I slowly rock her back and forth, humming into her ear soothingly.

"It's okay love. I'm right here. I'll always be right here." I promise.
