I slip my shoes on before dinner. I rush downstairs and join the guys in the car. We ride off to Olive Garden. I hop out of the car and follow them into the restaurant. The waitress comes and guides us to our table. My eyes travel around the restaurant and stop at a familiar face.

Gavin...

I brighten up a little.

"Hey I'm gonna go say hi to Gavin. He's sitting right over there." I state. Dad nods his agreement, but doesn't look too trusting of this guy. I walk over with a smile.

"Hey Gavin!" I say. He looks up at me, looking stunned. He shifts uncomfortably.

"Oh, uh Aurora! Hey! Umm, what are you doing here?" He asks.

"Oh, my dad, my brothers, and I are eating dinner. What about you?" I ask. He panics slightly.

"I uh... I'm just here with my umm... Sister." He says.

"The same sister that was on the phone?" I question. His eyebrows raise in confusion.

"What?" He asks.

"You know, the same sister who was in the background when I called you...?"

"Oh! Oh, yeah. Right. That's her." He stumbles and facepalms himself.

"Uh, okay. Well, I'll see you around! Just wanted to say hi!" I say. He nods and plasters on a fake smile. I turn and walk back to the table. Well, that was... Odd.

I see dad eyeing Gavin up and down. I chuckle a little to myself. I sit back down and the waitress pops up.

"Hello! What can I get for you?" She asks nicely. We smile and place our orders. She walks off to the kitchen. We chatter about little things. Dad asks questions about Gavin every chance he can. I just smile and answer them. Our food arrives and we begin eating. I nibble on the over-sized salad. I find my eyes wandering back to Gavin.

I see a girl, looking about 19, sitting next to him. It must be his sister. I sigh. She's so pretty! Why don't I look like that? She leans over the table and touches his arm. That's a bit off.

Then they both lean in and my stomach drops. They kiss. I avert my eyes down to my food. He lied to me. He strung me along.

I bite down hard on my lip, trying not to cry.

"Are you okay?" Niall asks from beside me. I swallow the pain and mask it.

"Yeah! I'm fine. This is great." I say. He nods, buying my act. We finish dinner and walk out. I hang behind them and Gavin catches my eyes with his. I send him a sad look. He looks down ashamed as the girl comes up behind him and hangs off his shoulder. I just look down and follow the boys.

We arrive home and I walk up to my room as unsuspiciously as possible. I hop onto my bed and pull a pillow close to my chest. The tears begin to flow and soak the pillow case. I try to stop them. I try to tell myself that he's not worth it.

But he is. He was my first crush. But he didn't choose me. He chose someone else. He just wanted to string me along. And I let him. He lied to me. He chose her over me. Who wouldn't?

I sigh heavily as my phone beeps. I hesitate before unlocking it and checking it.

Gavin: I'm sorry.

That sends in a new round of fresh tears. Through my tears, I sober up just enough to write three words.

Aurora: No, you're not

I press send and collapse into my covers. I hear another beep.

Gavin: I really really am. Please give me another chance.

Anger files through me. He thinks he can get away with the mess he caused?!?

Aurora: No. Goodbye Gavin.

I hit send and go to my contacts. I slide my finger across Gavin's name, showing the red button. I don't hesitate at all before hitting it.
