My face streams with tears from laughing so hard. Justin's face nearly mimics my own, only slightly downgraded seeing as he has to drive.
"So, you're telling me that you never noticed that she could speak English?" I ask still laughing.
"Nope! It was pretty funny when I started to wave my hands around like an idiot trying to get her to understand me. I just wanted to take her room service order! But, she got all prissy and called me racist." He says. I laugh harder.
"Wow" I say.
"In my defense, she looked 100% Indian. She wore the long colorful dresses and everything. Even the forehead jewelry!" He states. I laugh some more and the car slows to a stop. We sober up and I sit in awe at the wonder in front of me. My eyes grow large as I stare at the green statue. Justin sees me and smiles.
"Wanna take a boat out to it?" He asks.
"Oh my gosh, can we?" I ask excitedly.
"Yep! Come on!" He says, leading me out of the car and towards a boat. The captain escorts all of the passengers on the boat and sets off towards the small island. I lean over the railing slightly and feel the wet drops spray my face. I smile widely and Justin stands next to me, also with a large smile on his face. We make it to the island and we step out of the boat.
We jog up to the Statue of Liberty and stare at it in awe. I whip out my phone and begin to clutter my camera roll. Justin joins me and we end up doing different poses. We decide to be funny and 'lean against it' like people do in The leaning tower of Pisa pictures. After a while, we exhaustingly sit on a bench. We lean back and stare at the now setting sun. I sigh heavily. My last day in NY is drawing to an end.
"Aww, Aura... Don't frown! Smile! Think about the Indian lady!" Justin says. I laugh again and he smiles. He clicks a picture on his phone that I'd thought he'd put up. I roll my eyes at him and look at the picture. I smile as I see it turned out really well.
"Send me that, okay?" I ask. He taps on is phone and mine beeps soon. I save it and put up my phone.
"Oh, shoot! We have to get back to the boat! It's last departure is soon!" Just exclaims. I laugh and we run off to the boat, thankfully catching it in time. We lean over the side of the boat again and stare at the twinkling stars. I sigh, never wanting this night to end.
We reluctantly leave the boat and make our way back to Justin's car tiredly. I doze off as he drives us back to the hotel.
He shakes me awake gently and I see his smiling face.
"Wake up, Aura. Let's get you to your room. You have an early morning ahead of you." He says. I smile and get up, grabbing my purse. He walks me up to my room and I give him a massive hug.
"Thank you so much for everything. You're my best friend ever. Stay in touch, okay?" I ask. He smiles.
"Of course. I'll give you a ring if I ever stumble into England." He says with a smirk. I hug him again and kiss his cheek.
"I guess this is good bye." I say sadly. I blink back tears and I can see him sadly slump also.
"No, this is see you later. I promise, I will see you again. So, see you!" He says. I smile sadly.
"See you." I say as I watch him run back down the stairs. I walk into my room and quickly pack my stuff up so it will be ready in the morning. I fall exhaustingly onto the soft bed.

I zombie walk out into the rental car and one of the boys drives us to the airport. I sigh as I stare back at the hotel in the distance. I am dragged through security and escorted to my seat. I stare out of the window as it sinks in. Once again, I am friendless. And, despite his promises, I'll probably never see him again.
The tears stream down my face.
