"I'm not arguing with you."

"Good, so you'll be quiet for once and listen."

"I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Why the fuck would you go around her!?"

"It wasn't lik-" I sighed and hard a bang like glass braking. I ran out of the room and heard crying. "Are you ok?"

"I- I didn't mean it- I- I'm sorry."

"Hey, hey it's ok honey. Don't move." I shoved on my slippers and stepped over the glass picking him up and he wrapped his arms around my neck once he was away from the glass. "Listen don't cry it's ok."

"I didn't want to wake you."

"Are you ok?"

"I wanted water but I didn't want to turn on the light and wake you, I'm sorry."

"Hey, look at me, honey." I sat on the couch with him and took his hand in mine as Lucy walked out. "It's ok, if you want anything you can have it ok."

"What happened?" Lucy asked walking down the steps.

"I broke something I'm sorry please don't be mad at me."

"It's ok, don't worry. Are you ok?" She asked and he nodded. "Well, that's all that matters." She looked at the big vase thing that he broke and she smiled over at him. "Guess what?" She said and he looked up. "I hated that vase anyway." She smiled and he smiled slowly. "It was pretty ugly, the only reason I had it was because it came with this house." He smiled more and rubbed his eyes. "Listen, don't worry about it ok. Dolly will get you a drink of water and I'll clean up ok?" He nodded slowly and sniffed, we got up and I took his hand going into the kitchen. I got him a cup of water and he got back in his bed, I pulled the blanket over him and he looked over at me.

"Are you ok?" I asked him.

"Ya... can you keep my door open."

"Do you want a night light?"

"No... that's for babies."

"Honey, they aren't for babies. I always had one in my room, do you want me to get it for you?"

"No it's ok..." he mumbled.

"I'll just show it to you ok?" He nodded and I quickly went upstairs to my old room.

"Hey, I'm sorry for getting mad at you. I don't want you to sleep in there."

"I'm getting my night light for Luca, I think he's scared of the dark but he said night lights are for baby's."

"I love you," Lucy said kissing me lightly.

"I love you too." I went back downstairs and showed him my salt lamp night light.

"-And the salt gets warm from the light and makes the room cozy," I said and he looked amazed.

"So... it's not for baby's?"

"Nope, these are for adults. So do you want to see what it's like?" He thought for a second and nodded, I plugged it in and turned it on for him.

"Are you sure you don't need it?" He asked.

"I'm sure."

"It's just for the first couple of nights... I-" he stopped. "Thank you."

"No problem, and if you need anything just get it or ask ok? Even if it's nighttime."

"Ok. Goodnight."

"Good night honey." I smiled, I walked out the door and seen Lucy leaning against the wall. She took my hand in hers and pulled me to the living room, she sat on the couch and pulled me onto her lap.

"I'm sorry." She said just above a whisper.

"I'm sorry," I said looking up at her.

"He really likes you."

"I hope so... I feel so bad for him."

"Me too, he's really taken to you."

"I'm glad... there was something he wanted to say when I tucked him in but he didn't finish his sentence, hopefully, he'll tell me later."

"Well it's only his second night, it'll get better." She said kissing me.
