Five

Once we got in target Luca was looking at the clothes and I went over to Lucy. "What happe-" she grabbed my collar tightly.

"Do not bring it up, do you understand?"

"But-" She pulled it again. "Yes, mistress," I mumbled she let go and walked to Luca.

"Find anything you like?" She asked.

"I don't know, anything is ok." He shrugged.

"Love, I want you to pick out stuff that you like."

"But what about if when I leave the next kid you get doesn't like the stuff I like."

"Well I don't know about you," I said walking over to him. "But I don't plan on your going anywhere. and whatever you get now you can take if you decide to leave."

"My mom wants me back." He said picking up a Pokémon shirt. Neither of us spoke. "She showed up today at my meeting, and I don't know why but I started to cry. I like people like you. Not people like her."

"Don't worry honey, if you don't feel comfortable with her just tell your social worker."

"He doesn't care." He mumbled putting that shirt back.

"Listen, don't worry about her ok? You're with us right now and we are here for you and we will fight for you to keep you safe." He nodded and I smiled down at him. After about an hour we had the cart full of clothes, a few board games, some colouring books for myself and Luca, some of his favourite foods and a soft throw blanket he liked.

Once we were home we had tacos, coloured watched Spiderman and Luca went to sleep with his new blanket wrapped tightly around him. When we got in bed Lucy wrapped her arms around me tightly and kissed my head. "I love you kitten." She said quietly.

"I love you too." I turned and looked up at her.

"Good." She kissed my lips lightly. "I'm sorry."

"It's ok."

"I want to enjoy everything with you. But..." she sat up. "Even though it was ten plus years ago whenever I... have something inside me I can't help but think of those time-"

"Hey," I sat up touching her back lightly. "Pain doesn't have an expiration date, I can't imagine going through something like that. If you never want me to... have sex with you that way I would get it."

"But I love having sex with you. More than anything and you make me feel so good baby girl. I don't want any part of my past holding me back from you."

"It's ok," I said kissing her cheek. "Even this morning was a big step forward."

"I love you kitten." She ran her hand through my hair and across my cheek kissing it.

"I love you too." I smiled at her and she wrapped her arms around me pulling me into her arms.

"It's weird how different it is having sex with someone you love."

"Oh?" I questioned with my eyes closed.

"Yeah, I didn't think sex could get this good." I couldn't help but smile. "I see that smile." I opened my eyes and looked up at her. She leaned down kissing my nose making me roll my eyes. She laid back and closed her eyes, it was quiet for a few minutes and I glanced over at her.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure kitten."

"How's therapy... like are you ok."

"I'm ok, we'll talk about it tomorrow ok?" I nodded and she kissed my head before turning off the light. "I love you."

"I love you too."

I woke to an empty bed, I got up and went downstairs. Luca wasn't in his room and the living room and kitchen were empty. I walked down the hall and seen the door to the movie room was partly open, I looked in to see Luca and Lucy playing fortnight. I smiled to myself and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
